Abstract. Aggressivity is a destructive behavior which can be done by anyone and anywhere. The purpose of this study to examine the relationship between stress and family support with aggressiveness at wife who underwent a long-distance marriage. The subject of this study were 53 wives who underwent a long-distance marriage which have child at least one person. The data was collected using Aggressivity scale, stress scale and the scale of family support. The collected data were analyzed with a statistical technique of regression analysis and then parcial correlation. Results of regression analysis showed that there was a significant relationship between stress and family support with Aggressivity, with the effective contribution of stres and family support respectively by 23,07 % dan 45,03 %. By partial, stress variable did not correlated with aggressivity, but the family support variables significantly negatively correlated with aggressivity.Keywords : stress, family support, aggressivenessÂ
One of the most common parenting practice found in Kupang city is harsh parenting. This type of parenting put less focus in understanding children's opinions, feelings and hopes and more in physical and verbal punishment such as spanking, yelling and slapping. This study aims to explore children's perception on their parents' parenting practice with three main objectives, what do their parents do when they do something wrong, what causes their parents to do that and what is their feelings and hopes for their parents. Participants in this study were recruited from 12 kindergartens in Kupang City. Data collection were done in two months using interview session on 26 boys (43%) and 34 girls (56%) aged five to six years old. Data were analyzed using thematic analysis. Results shown that there are three main reactions from parents when their children made mistake, that is physical punishment, verbal punishment, and permissive punishment. The antecedent of these responses identified are internal factors from the children (e.g. children refuses to eat or sleep) and external factors (e.g. parents under influence of alcohol, conflict between parents). Fathers, mothers and even other caregivers such as grandmothers are identified to be involved in harsh parenting. Children admitted several negative feelings such as feeling sad, alone, afraid and also often expressed their emotions in crying. There are six hopes from children for their parents, they long for physical contact, verbal expression, non verbal expression, spending time together, gifts and also sometimes they want nothing at all. Based on this study, parents in Kupang City could use more knowledge and skills to understand young children and how to discipline them without resorting to harsh parenting practices.
Parenting is one of the most important responsibilities that someone could bear as a parent, probably the most burdensome too. Regardless, several questions are still left unanswered by Indonesian scientists, what are the field of studies related to parenting? What are the problems emanating from the practice of parenting and their solutions? What are the strategic steps one can take as psychology scientist or practitioner to improve parenting in Indonesia? This study examined the application of scoping review to provide responses for aforementioned questions. Just like the way a cartographer map an area in order to advance civilization, a scoping review is meant to enlighten future researchers with the answers on “what has been done?”. Five databases were searched in this review, 94 articles were discovered to undergo further rigorous selection, and 16 chosen articles were charted and analyzed accordingly. Finding shows that education, health, and psychology were the field of studies associated with high quality parenting research in Indonesia. Problems in child’s development caused by bad parenting attracted most researchers’ attention. Solutions provided were unique to each study’s context and hard to generalize. Finally, it is suggested that psychologists’ involvement in national parenting program is inevitable, and should start from today.
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan metode mental Imagery terhadap Teknik Guntingan para atlet, dan tingkat keberhasilan antara metode mental imagery dan teknik guntingan atlet perisai diri MTs Negeri Kupang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode Pra Eksperimen dengan jenis penelitian Quasi eksperimen. Adapun populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh Atlet Perisai Diri MTs Negri Kupang karena dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh untuk menentukan sampel. Selanjutnya untuk mendapatkan data penelitin penulis menggunakan teknik Observasi. Hasil penelitian data disimpulkan bahwa hasil dari uji pretest dan posttest dilakukan pengujian hipotesis dan mendapatkan hasil yang menyatakan bahwa penerapan metode mental imagery berpengaruh terhadap teknik guntinggan dengan memperoleh nilai t hitung sebesar 12,932 > t tabel 1,761.
Artikel ini membahas tentang penerapan komunikasi positif oleh guru berdasarkan pemahaman guru, sehingga tercermin dari perilaku yang ditunjukan guru saat melakukan kegiatan pembelajaran di sekolah, masalah yang melatarbelakangi penelitian adalah bagaimana pemahaman guru tentang komunikasi positif terhadap perilaku guru saat melakukan kegiatan pembelajaran di sekolah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh pemahaman guru tentang komunikasi positif terhadap perilaku guru dan mengetahui bentuk-bentuk penerapan komunikasi positif oleh guru. Penelitian dilakukan di TK Negeri Pembina Kota Kupang. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan menggunakan jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan angket. Subjek dalam penelitian ini sejumlah delapan orang guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukan terdapat beberapa aspek pemahaman guru tentang komunikkasi positif yang sering muncul yaitu aspek empati, aspek sikap mendukung, aspek sikap positif sehingga berpengaruh pada perilaku guru dengan menunjukan sikap baik pada guru dengan mendukung anak, guru menunjukan sikap kepedulian kepada seluruh anak, guru memberikan arahan dan motivasi positif yang membangun kepada anak dalam bentuk penerapan komunikasi positif berupa komunikasi secara verbal maupun non verbal.
