Niniejszy szkic stanowi próbę namysłu nad zagadnieniem rzadko dotąd obecnym w kręgu polskiej refleksji filologicznej. Skupiamy w nim uwagę na zakończeniach 18 wybranych artykułów literaturoznawczych. Właśnie w konkluzjach, jako mających zwieńczyć bądź streścić wywód i zakorzenić tekst w pamięci odbiorców, twórcy poradników i opracowań dotyczących dyskursu naukowego dostrzegają znaczenie fundamentalne.
The following article is an initial part of research, the main aim of which is to identify and develop the artistic, critical, literary and scientific achievements of Jacek Petelenz-Łukasiewicz (1934–2021). The current text concerns the insufficiently penetrated area of the writer’s creative activity, namely his poetry. It turns out that this creativity draws on the many different philosophical systems and currents, and its core is broadly understood personalism. The author tries to reach the philosophical foundations of this poetry. The main thesis of the article is the conclusion that the characters located in the intra-textual worlds of Łukasiewicz‘s poetry are, in a deep ontological sense, “dramatic creatures,” defined by three basic factors: opening to the dramatic stage, opening to another person, opening to the passing time. On the basis of these observations, the author concludes that there are numerous parallels between Jacek Łukasiewicz‘s poetry and the Józef Tischner’s philosophy of drama.
In the following article, the author briefly analyzes the activity of Władysław Syrokomla — the Polish poet of Romanticism — in terms of his attitude to the Polish cultural code. Three areas of the writer’s activity have been analyzed: his literary work (mainly gawędy), activity as a translator and literary researcher, and finally — his social involvement in nationwide and local affairs. The author of the article states that the works of Syrokomla bring with them values that are up to date and may become a signpost for the young generation of Polish intellectuals.
This article is an introduction to theoretical considerations focused on biographical allusions to reality that find their place in poetry. The author, following the theories of literary fiction rooted in Aristotle’s thought, takes the position that all scientific considerations concerning the actual prototypes of the creation of the represented worlds must start with the rejection of existential monism and assume the existence of ‘possible worlds’. The author proposes to introduce the concept of ‘biographical allusion formulated by applying a lyric strategy’ into literary theory and indicates three basic lyrical strategies of this type: testimony, confession and challenge.
The article is a review of the monograph by Aleksandra Zasępa Od surrealizmu do poezji symbolu. Tendencje artystyczne w twórczości poetyckiej Janusza Stycznia published in 2017. The author, recognising the value of the first scholarly study of Styczeń’s work, pays attention to the shortcomings and inaccuracies found in the book, including: expressing judgments that are insufficiently scientifically founded, incorrect methodological approach, leaving the terms used without definitions, gaps in the subject literature. The author states that the reviewed monograph is characterised by relative scientific correctness; however, the statements formulated by the researcher are too superficial.
