This research aimed to obtain information about influence of parental involvement on children's learning interests at home during the corona virus pandemic. This research used a quantitative approach to the type of ex-post facto research. The population in this research consisted of 90 parents and students. This research was conducted in Buton Regency. The data collection method used a questionnaire and used simple regression analysis. Based on the hypothesis tested, it found a positive and significant influence on children's interest in learning at home during the corona virus pandemic with a regression coefficient of 72,749 and a significant value (sig) of 0,000 0.05. Parents' involvement in the parenting in program was to provide support, respect the work of children, guide, supervise and discipline. Teaching children at home, Providing motivation, Building good communication with children and school environment to find out the child's development, Building cooperation with schools and the community.
The purpose of this study was to obtain information on understanding of early childhood education in coastal communities in the Buton Islands. This research uses descriptive qualitative research. The subjects in this study were teachers, and parents in the coastal district of Buton. Based on the results of the study, the coastal communities in the Buton Islands do not yet fully have knowledge about the nature of early childhood development. Based on the results of the study showed that parents could not distinguish between ECE and Kindergarten. Kindergarten in not part of ECE and so that in learning process, parents emphasis on academic achievement without providing the the character building. Parents only focus on on reading and writing without paying attention to aspects of moral and religious values, physical, motor, social, emotional. In the aspect of the role of involvement, it shows the lack of role as parents of students to be involved in the implementation of early childhood education including parenting program activities, volunteers, communication, collaboration and learning at home. Lack of understanding of coastal parents in Buton Islands towards the implementation of early childhood education, it is necessary for schools to involve families in educational programs in order to gain enlightenment and knowledge about early childhood education.
This research aimed to describe the application the philosophy values of Bhinci-bhinciki Kuli in early childhood at Wolio community. This research used descriptive method with ethnographic approach. The subjects of this research consisted of the chiefs . This research was conducted at wolio community In Buton. Method of data collection used observation and interviews. Based on the results of data analysis, showed that: The values of Bhinci-bhinciki Kuli included Poma-masiaka which means mutual love, Poangka-kataka which means mutual respect, Pomae-maeaka which means mutual respect for dignity and Popia-piara which means caring for one another. The Family had a very important role in instilling the values of philosophy Bhinci-bhinciki Kuli as a foundation of character through habituation and modelling since early childhood in daily life were accustomed and modelling Poma-masiaka mutual love, Poangka-kataka which means mutual respect, Pomae-maeaka which means mutual respect for dignity and Popia-piara which means caring for one another. Application the philosophy values of Bhinci-bhinciki Kuli in early childhood was to instill the values morality, so that grow up with a personality that had good character.
Community service activities are carried out at the Lawela village meeting hall, South Buton Regency. This service method is community-based with a participatory approach. The form of this service activity is carried out by Focus Group Discussions, Literature Reviews, and socialization by involving various parties including the community service team, family, teachers, school principals, the community and the village government. The results of this socialization show that there is a quality that appears in parental involvement in children's learning interests which has a positive impact. This means that the more parents are involved, the child's interest in learning will increase. Parental involvement includes: Parenting, Communicating, Volunteering, Learning at home, Decision-making and Collaborating with the community. parents, teachers and school programs include facilitating children's learning, guiding, increasing parents' learning motivation, increasing children's learning motivation and building harmonious relationships. The family is the first and foremost place for children from birth, it is in the family environment that children get their first education, so it is very appropriate that in the midst of the corona virus outbreak, parents are again involved in educating their children at home
The purpose of this study is to know the increase in counting ability through the use of nature material of grade A Kindergarten students. The population in this study consisted of 15 students of grade A at Kartika Wirabuana 51 Kindergarten, Baubau. This study used Action Classroom Research method according to Kemmis and Mc. Taggart consisting of four steps: 1. planning, 2. action, 3. observation, and 4. reflection. The data was collected by field notes, documentation, and observation. The data were analyzed by a descriptive qualitative and quantitative method. The result of this study shows that counting by using the natural material could increase the counting ability of grade A Kindergarten students. The results of this study also show that based on the percentage of students capability before the intervention until the end of the intervention. The preliminary data on students' numeracy skills showed around 45,83%, and after using natural materials in learning, students' numeracy skills increased in each cycle (in the first cycle was 76.33% and in the second cycle 90.83%). The increase of students counting ability at grade A Kindergarten students by using natural material consists of arranging the number, counting of things, more and less concept, number concept and additional concept.
