The purpose of this study was to study the effect of Brain-Based Learning and Project Based Learning strategies on the results of mathematics learning in students of visual learning styles in the Basic Mathematics Introduction course at the Teaching and Education Faculty at Halu Oleo University, Republic of Indonesia. This study uses an experimental research method designed with a post-test design. Student learning outcomes data were collected through tests and learning style data collected through questionnaires. Data were analyzed by ANOVA with Dunnet's further test. The results showed that the learning outcomes of students from the visual learning style group were taught the strategy of Brain-Based Learning higher than Project-Based Learning. The conclusion of the study shows that the student learning outcomes of the visual learning style group taught by the Brain-Based Learning strategy are higher than the Project Based Learning; Student groups with visual learning style preferences are more suitable to be applied with the Brain-Based Learning strategy.
The purpose of this devotion is to increase knowledge and insight into the innovation of e-learning based learning for teachers of SMA Negeri 4 Kendari can be done through training activities in the application of Schoology. This activity was attended by 15 people in the teachers of SMA Negeri 4 Kendari with the implementation method of devotion using lecture methods, questions and answers, and simulations. The results of this dedication show that (1) the trainees have a knowledge of the use of e-learning application Platform Schoology, (2) The trainees already have a learning class using the platform E-Learning Application Schoology, and (3) The trainees have been knowledgeable in creating and developing the content of e-learning Schoology application
Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh rendahnya hasil belajar matematika siswa. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Kontukowuna dan dipilih sampel sebanyak 2 kelas. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik Purposive Sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tes hasil belajar matematika siswa berbentuk esay. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dan pembahasan diperoleh kesimpulan : (1) Hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Kontukowuna yang diajar menggunakan pembelajaran matematika realistik (PMR) pada materi pola bilangan memiliki nilai rata-rata 70,789, dengan jumlah siswa 26 orang, serta data nilai posttest berdistribusi normal (2) Hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Kontukowuna yang diajar menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional pada materi pola bilangan memiliki nilai ratarata 62,723, dengan jumlah siswa 28 orang, serta data nilai posttest berdistribusi normal (3). Pembelajaran matematika realistik (PMR) mempunyai pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Kontukowuna.
Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh model Problem Based Learning terhadap peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematik siswa SMP. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 5 Kendari yang terdiri dari sepuluh kelas parallel. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pemberian instrumen penelitian berupa lembar observasi dan istrumen tes kemampuan komunikasi matematik berbentuk tes uraian. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan analisis inferensial. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa model Problem Based Learning (PBL) memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematik siswa pada kedua kelas eksperimen. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan nilai rata-rata pretest kemampuan komunikasi matematik siswa lebih rendah daripada nilai rata-rata posttest kemampuan komunikasi matematik siswa pada kedua kelas eksperimen. Kata kunci: Model Pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL), Kemampuan KomunikasiMatematik Siswa.Abstract: This study aims to see the effect of Problem Based Learning model to improve the mathematic communication ability of secondary school students. The population in this study is all students of grade VIII of SMP Negeri 5 Kendari consisting of ten parallel classes. Sampling technique in this research using purposive sampling technique. Technique of data collection is done by giving theresearch instrument in the form of observation sheet and instrumen of test of mathematic communication ability in the form of description test. Data analysis techniques use descriptive analysis and inferential analysis. Based on the results of data analysis obtained the conclusion that the model of Problem Based Learning gives a significant effect on students mathematic communication skills in both of two classes. This is indicated by the average pretest value of the students mathematic communication which is lower than the posttest average of students' mathematic communication ability in the two experimental classes.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) untuk mengetahui bagaimana gambaran hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas X3SMA Negeri 1 Asera dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal fungsi kuadrat dan (2) untuk mengetahui jenis-jenis kesalahan apakah yang dilakukan siswa kelas X3SMA Negeri 1 Asera dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal fungsi kuadrat. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Subyek dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas X3 sebanyak 23 orang, dan subjek yang diwawancarai dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari 6 orang. Data hasil wawancara digunakan sebagai pembanding data hasil tes. Analisis data dilakukan melaluireduksi data, penyajiandata, penarikan kesimpulan, dan verifikasi data. Hasil yang diperoleh dalampenelitianiniadalah: (1) Hasil deskriptif nilai tes hasil belajar matematikasiswa dalam menyelesaian soal-soal fungsi kuadrat siswa berkisar 5 sampai dengan 59 dengan rata–rata 25,9; median 21 dan modus 14; (2) jenis kesalahan yang dilakukan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal materi fungsi kuadrat yang meliputi kesalahan konsep, kesalahan prinsip dan kesalahan perhitungan.
