ABSTRAKCardiac arrest merupakan kondisi yang memerlukan tindakan cepat dan butuh tindakan pemberian RJP yang efektif. Mahasiswa keperawatan merupakan salah satu kelompok yang dapat berperan sebagai bystander, untuk itu perlu memperhatikan hal krusial seperti pengetahuan dan efikasi diri sebagai dasar melakukan RJP. Untuk itu penting mengetahui hubungan keduanya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui hubungan pengetahuan dan efikasi diri mahasiswa keperawatan dalam pemberian RJP. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah observasional analitik dengan pendekatan crossectional melibatkan 110 mahasiswa keperawatan Universitas dr Soebandi yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Analisa data menggunakan uji Kolmogorov Smirnov. Hasil Hasil uji statistic diperoleh nilai p=0,000 (α 0,05) maka dapat disimpulkan ada hubungan yang signifikan antara pengetahuan tentang RJP dengan efikasi diri mahasiswa keperawatan di Univesitas dr Soebandi. Kesimpulan: Efikasi diri memerlukan pengetahuan sebagai dasar kemampuan kognitif individu. Maka dari itu mahasiswa perawat perlu senantiasa melakukan berbagai upaya untuk mencapai hal tersebut demi menciptakan bystander yang memiliki kepercayaan diri untuk memberikan RJP yang berkualitas.Kata Kunci : efikasi diri, mahasiswa keperawatan, pengetahuan, RJP .
Background: Smartphone addiction leads to physical, psychological, and social consequences for users, particularly for adolescent users, as psychological development is still in the process of maturation. Individual and family characteristics are shown to contribute to shaping adolescent’s behavior related to smartphone usage. Specifically, perceived parenting style and self-regulation have been reported as significant factors influencing smartphone addiction among adolescents.Objective: This study aims to identify the relationship among parenting style, self-regulation, and smartphone addiction proneness in Indonesian junior high school students.Method: This study used a cross-sectional, descriptive study design. Data collection took place in five public junior high schools in Jember from the 7th of January to the 8th of February, 2019. The total sample of this study was 158, purposively asked to fill out three questionnaires: Parental Authority Questionnaire, Self-Regulation Questionnaire, and Smartphone Addiction Proneness Scale. Chi-square test and Pearson’s correlation coefficients were used to test the relationship between two variables.Result: The differences in smartphone addiction proneness between the risk group and non-risk group were significant depending on gender (p=0.004), daily smartphone usage time (p=0.025), and purpose of smartphone usage (p=0.001). A significant negative correlation was found between self-regulation and smartphone addiction proneness (r= -0.448, p=0.001).Conclusion: The current study found that 11.4% of junior high school students in Jember-Indonesia were categorized into risk groups for smartphone addiction. Gender, daily smartphone usage time, and purpose of smartphone usage showed significant differences between the risk group and the non-risk group. However, there was no difference in the parenting style of the mother between the two groups. Self-regulation showed a significant association with smartphone addiction.
Nutritional problems in children under five years old are something that must be considered. One of the factors that affect poor nutrition is styles parenting. Parenting styles are known to have both positive and negative influences on nutritional status of children. So that, further research is needed, especially in Jember. This study aimed to identify correlation between mother’s parenting style and nutritional status among children under five years. This study used cross-sectional approach. A total of 94 mothers and children registered at Posyandu 85, 86, and 87 in Karangrejo village, Jember regency were selected purposively as sample of the study. The nutritional status was measured using weight for age. Mother’s parenting style was measured using Parental Authority Questionnaire. To identify the correlation between variables, Chi Square test was used. The majority of children with severe malnutrition and moderate malnutrition have mothers with permissive and authoritarian parenting style. In contrast, of the 54 mothers with authoritative parenting style, only 4 mothers whose children with severe or moderate malnutrition. This study showed a significant correlation between mother’s parenting style and nutritional status with p-value of 0.023. From this study, authoritative parenting style was identified to have a positive impact on the nutritional status. Therefore, to optimizing the nutritional status in children can be done through implementation of mother’s parenting style which can support the adequacy of nutritional status of children. The technology-based daily recording of children's dietary is expected to be able to provide an easier overview of children nutritional status. So, it will reduce the number of nutritional imbalances in children. This research aimed to know determine the effectiveness of children's daily dietary recording with an application to estimate children's nutritional needs. The research method was used a literature review study. Result: From the results of the study, it was concluded that the use of food recording applications, either use photos or not, provide increased information on children's daily nutrition. The application allows an estimation of the food portion and nutrition of children's diet. It may become a benchmark for parents or health workers in providing children's diets. The dietary assessment application can be used both in the community and in hospitals to monitor children nutrition status. It is recommended that further research to include food waste in the calculation so that the daily energy estimate is more accurate.
Background: Thalassemia major is a chronic disease in children that harms children quality of life by interrupting physical function, emotional function, social function, and school function. Objectives: This study aims to identify factors contributed to quality of life among children with thalassemia major. Design: The research design used systematic review based on the PRISMA guideline. Data Sources: The source of the articles used three databases including Pubmed, Science Direct, and NCBI with keywords: “quality of life” AND “children” AND “thalassemia major”. The articles were searched from July to September 2021. Review Methods: The data in this study were obtained by reviewing articles from previous studies using PRISMA checklist and PICOS. To assess the quality of article, JBI Critical Appraisal Tools was also used as a guideline. Results: There were 6 articles reviewed according to the inclusion criteria. All the studies showed that the score of quality of life among children with thalassemia major was lower than that of healthy children. The school function among children with thalassemia major was known to have the lowest score from this review. Factors contributed to quality of life among children with thalassemia major according to this review were chelation therapy, pretransfusion hemoglobin, age during the first transfusion, frequency of transfusion, child’s age, family income, parents’ education, hepatomegaly, body mass index, and serum ferritin levels. Conclusion: This review notifies the necessity of developing strategies in improving the quality of life of children with thalassemia major that involves parents, health services, schools, and the government.
