Palavras-chave: Irrigação. Enactus. Agricultura Familiar. Gestão Hídrica DEVELOPMENT OF AN IRRIGATION SYSTEM USING MOISTURE SENSOR WITH AUTOMATIC SPRINKLER ABSTRACTAgribusiness is considered a pillar of Brazilian economy nowadays. However, even though the importance of agriculture in economy, it is necessary to understand the challenges related to water consumption in agriculture in Brazil and worldwide. Thus, using two projects developed by an international organization of social entrepreneurship, the Enactus, and taking into account sustainability and environmental resources, this study presents a development of an automatic sprinkler moisture sensor. This project is part of Enactus projects oriented by Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2, 6, 8, 12, from United Nations (UN). The system connects the equipment in order to release water for agricultural irrigation, focusing on family farming. this irrigation system works through the micro sprinkler, using lollipop sticks. Therefore, through a work related to Food-Water-Energy Nexus, the development processes followed the Product Development Process (PDP) methodology. The irrigation system allows a greater control over the harvesting, avoiding lack or excess in the water supply, that often generates losses in several plantations. The system also collaborates to reduce the great waste of water in irrigation, thus enabling a sustainable management and efficient use of this natural resource.
