The objective of this research was to investigate the application of mulicultural outing class in X IPS MAN 2 Model Medan during academic year [2017][2018]. The population of this research was the tenth grade of IPS MAN 2 Model Medan which consists of 1 class. The sample of this research was taken from X IPS MAN 2 Model Medan consist of 35 students. This research was qualitative research which was dealt to describe and analyze the phenomena, event, social activities, trust attitude, humans' perspectives individually or grouply. The instrument of this research used in this reaserach was documentation, observation, interviews which would be analyzed by data colecction, data reduction, data presentation, conclusion and verification. The result showed was the multicultural values of students' awareness who could build the respect behaviour towards them which has a different beliefs, cultures, ethnics, and social classes.
Historical learning has not reached optimal in the learning process. It is caused by the history teachers’ learning model has not used the innovative learning models. Furthermore, it supported by the perception of students to the history subject because it does not become final exam (UN) subject so it makes less improvement and builds less critical thinking in students’ daily learning. This is due to the lack of awareness of historical events and the availability of history books for students and teachers in the library are still lacking. Discovery learning with scientific approach encourages students to solve problems actively and able to improve students' critical thinking skills with scientific approach so student can build scientific thinking include observing, asking, reasoning, trying, and networking.
This article focuses on strengthening students' historical awareness in learning history in high school through the inquiry method. The purpose of this study was to identify the strengthening of students' historical awareness through the inquiry method. Data is obtained through documents of books, journals, theses, proceedings, and websites that relate to the object of research and then analyzed with text analysis techniques. The results showed the inquiry method was very helpful to make history teaching more interesting, showed students that the facts existed and also gave students the opportunity to actively participate in history lessons and students were encouraged to act actively looking for answers to the problems they faced and draw conclusions itself through a process of scientific thinking that is critical, systematic and logical so that historical awareness that had previously grown stronger.
This research is elucidating the teacher’s roles in the implementation of media literacy in the historical learning. The research site is in Senior High School 2 Magelang with the subject of research is the history teachers and students in 10th grade and 11th grade. The qualitative method with case study approach was used in this research to to get deeper data that contain the meaning. The data collection was conducted through the observation by plunging into the field and observes directly how the conditions are running in the classroom. Then in addition, the authors also conducted interviews with the teachers and students. These data collection, then combined or triangulated with observation, interview and documentation. This research shows that the teacher's role in media literacy is necessary in the process of learning history. The media-based learning process requires supervision and direction from teachers because there is a potent to have positive and negative impacts. <p><em>The purpose of this study is to explain the process of cultivating historical awareness of the value of the rewanda custom in the cave creo semarang in history learning at SMA Negeri 12 Semarang, explaining how historical awareness among students at SMA Negeri 12 Semarang, explains the relevance between Adat Rewanda and Historical Awareness in learning and explaining how to integrate the traditional values of rewanda in Goa Kreo Semarang with history learning at SMA Negeri 12 Semarang. Researchers used qualitative research methods with descriptive and phenomenological approaches. The results of this study indicate that the cultivation of historical awareness of the customary value of rewanda in the cave creo semarang is appropriate, proven by the existence of a Learning Implementation Plan and Syllabus in the 2013 Curriculum, the implementation of learning, evaluation and historical awareness of students which is shown mostly from the results of student interviews, namely understanding. There are factors that affect the level of students' historical awareness, among others, the history of teacher competence, existing learning, and the environment. The facilities used in the cultivation of historical awareness are supported by learning and extracurricular resources.</em></p>
