-In this paper, we discuss issues affecting highfrequency power amplifier stability. Two methods for simulating K-factor stability in a monolithic millimeter-wave integrated circuit (MMIC) power amplifier will be discussed. Both methods will be used to predict the occurrence of millimeter-wave oscillations ( Ka-band and above) in a Wband power amplifier. We present experimental results confirming the simulation data, and discuss how the methods may be applied to eliminate instabilities in MMIC power amplifiers.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
