Karakter kinerja adalah semua aspek identitas diri individu termasuk cara berpikir, sikap dan keterampilan yang terinternalisasi dan menjadi kebiasaan individu dalam menjalankan pekerjaan. Karakter kinerja menjadi modal dasar dalam mencapai kesuksesan karier. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif dan menggunakan instrumen karakter kinerja mahasiswa yang mengukur tiga aspek yaitu aspek pengetahuan, sikap dan keterampilan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kualitas karakter kinerja mahasiswa berada dalam kategori berkualitas dengan rata-rata 61,17%. Aspek pengetahuan berada pada angka 61,4% dengan kriteria berkualitas, aspek sikap 74,4 % dengan kriteria berkualitas dan aspek keterampilan 47,72% dengan cukup berkualitas.
This article aims to obtain the comprehensive description of how far the patience value internalization in bedtime storytelling activities in Sundanese society that useful for future children's personality development. Qualitative research applied in this study. Data collecting techniques used in this study through observations and interviews. Observation was carried out by observation guide in several Sundanese people houses whose mothers did storytelling activities before sleeping with their children. Then the interview was conducted to the mother as a storyteller with an interview guide, and the child was also interviewed as cross check data. The results show that the patience value is internalized before doing storytelling activities and when it takes place.
This article aims to determine the career maturity profile of high school students based on the results of a review of the theories of John Milton Dillard, Donald Edwin Super, John Lewis Holland and the results of previous relevant research on career maturity. Career maturity is needed by teenagers to be able to choose and prepare themselves to enter the career world well. Career maturity should be owned by high school students by making the right career choices to continue further study or enter the workforce. This research employed survey method. The research instrument trials were conducted on 305 students of class XI at SMA N 6 Bandung. Instrument trials include testing the validity and reliability testing. The data needed in this study is the career maturity profile of class XI high school students. To obtain student career maturity profile data used an instrument of student career maturity that is made based on three aspects, namely cognitive aspects, affective aspects, and psychomotor aspects.The results of this study indicate that the general profile of career maturity of class XI high school students is in the quite capable category as seen from the cognitive, affective and psychomotor aspects, meaning that the majority of students have knowledge, attitudes and skills related to career maturity that are not yet optimal. The results showed that the aspect that had the highest percentage was the cognitive aspect, while the psychomotor aspect had the lowest percentage. Indicators on the psychomotor aspects are building motivation, operating facilities and infrastructure and managing planning.
Parents' perception about the romantic relationships among the early adolescents (Middle School) has become an interesting phenomenon in which this will bring some impacts on their parenting patterns. For parents, dating phenomenon among early adolescents then comes to be a dilemma. They are facing two decisions: allowing or prohibiting their middle-school-age children to do so. In one hand, if it is prohibited, the parents are worried if their child will choose to have a backstreet relationship, consequently making such condition getting worse. On the other hand, if allowing, the parents are worried that their children are unable to control themselves and this would make their romantic relationship progresses differently as expected and negatively brings an impact on their studies. The different parents' perception about the adolescent dating, in turn, will determine their parenting patterns to their child that has or has not started dating. Observing the parenting patterns to early adolescents (at Middle School) comes to be interesting then. This research involved 123 parents in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. A number of questions were given to the parents in relation to their perception about dating, things they do in parenting their child that has and has not started dating. The data analysis was conducted using the mixed descriptive-quantitative and qualitative method. The results of this research showed that parents had a perception about the adolescent dating and identified some parenting acts of parents towards the adolescents having and not having a romantic relationship.
This research is aimed to produce an effective self-actualization counseling model to develop personal skills. The counseling model was developed based on a humanistic approach and combined with preliminary study results on the personal skills profile of Indonesian Education University (UPI) students in 2009/2010. The method used is research and development (research and depelovment) which consists of four main steps, namely preliminary study, model development, model rational validation, and empirical validation model. The results showed that in general the attainment of personal skills of research subjects has not been optimal, both in terms of understanding himself, understand others, or in social interaction meaningfully. Based on rational and empirical validation tests, it was found that self-actualization counseling models are effective for developing personal skills, covering almost all indicators in each dimension of the skill.Keywords: Humanistic; Personal Skills; Self-Actualization Counseling; Services Abstrak: Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk menghasilkan model konseling aktualisasi diri yang efektif untuk mengembangkan kecakapan pribadi. Model konseling tersebut dikembangkan berdasarkan pendekatan humanistik dan dipadukan dengan hasil studi pendahuluan tentang profil kecakapan pribadi mahasiswa Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) tahun 2009/2010. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (research and depelovment) yang terdiri atas empat langkah utama, yaitu studi pendahuluan, pengembangan model, validasi rasional model, dan validasi empirik model. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada umumnya pencapaian kecakapan pribadi subjek penelitian belum optimal, baik dalam aspek memahami dirinya sendiri, memahami orang lain, maupun dalam berinteraksi sosial secara bermakna. Berdasarkan uji validasi rasional dan empirik, ditemukan bahwa model konseling aktualisasi diri efektif untuk mengembangkan kecakapan pribadi, yang melingkupi hampir semua indikator pada setiap dimensi kecakapan tersebut.
