The commitment that the Higher Education Institution in Mexico has with the country is important, since its contribution in the formation of quality professionals is a transcendent factor that impacts society. Considering the foregoing, this research work reflects on the importance of strengthening collegial work for the benefit of engineering Educational Programs, in order to favor engineering education through the work developed by academic experts in related educational areas. Due to the need to promote the research development of the teaching staff, the strengthening of the teacher's profile is promoted through strategies that motivate him to develop other activities that favor his professional development and have a positive impact on the students. The strategic basis of the proposal presented here is to promote, in a systemic manner, an administrative planning structure that integrates the factors that are important for strengthening the collaborative work of teachers, which makes it possible to visualize the development trajectory that members of a collegiate body may have. The systematization of these strategies of academic-administrative management favor in the evolution of these work teams, increasing in 57% the amount of Consolidated Academic Bodies and in 64% of Academic Bodies in Consolidation, which contributes in the strengthening of the Academic Capacity of the Faculty of Engineering, and positively impacting in integral formation of the future engineers.
The present work aims to show a strategy aimed at strengthening the academic staff through the creation of collegiate work groups which in the Mexican context are called Academic Corps (CA); the foregoing based on its strategic planning, collegiate work, relevance of the members of the CA, as well as the impact of its Lines of Generation and Application of Knowledge (LGAC) in the Educational Programs of the Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, for which which proposes an academic-administrative structure that favors institutional achievements through the elevation of its indicators, where in the first instance a detailed analytical method of how many full-time professors participate in CA and the description of their LGAC, historical of academic corps by educational program and in what degree of consolidation they are found, in conclusion, different strategies were implemented promoting the increase of consolidated and consolidating academic corps , and their dissemination through means of recognized prestige at national and international level, combined to the degree of empowerment of its members, evidence of joint work and integration ration of thematic networks of collaboration.
The present investigation aims to expose the implementation of a management strategy, in which the objective was to strengthen the academic staff profile, guide professors in an educative context of a high education institution, and help their professional development, so that to contribute positively in the training of university students. For that purpose, it was necessary that the educative institution had an administrative-academic management that favored the integration of professors with the necessary profile for the formation of the university students. This work was based on the analysis of SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats) results and polls carried out with the studied population allowing the implementation of a strategy. This, in turn, allowed the application of a theoretical-methodological system, having as a result the increase from 32% to 58% in the recognition of professors with an ideal profile, awarded by the “Programa para el Desarrollo Profesional Docente” (PRODEP), and an increment from 12% to 31% of the professor-researcher participation in the “Consejo Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnología”.
