Environmental Education has become over recent decades an emerging area of knowledge; its evolution has been conditioned not only by different regional dynamics, but also by international guidelines and trends. Therefore, the literature reports multiple and diverse pedagogical, curricular and transdisciplinary approaches to this topic. Likewise, studies on the dynamics and trends in the generation and production of knowledge are relevant to both teachers and researchers in every field of knowledge. In this sense, it is presented a bibliometric study that aims to analyse the international scientific production on Environmental Education on the Web of Science (WoS) within the categories Education and Educational Research and Education, Scientific Disciplines for the last two decades (2000-2019). The information obtained was analysed using different bibliometric techniques, like descriptive statistics, degree of collaboration and co-occurrence maps generated by VOSviewer (version 1.6.15) software. The results show the accelerated increase in the production of knowledge in this area, they present the main research contexts, as well as some educational and research perspectives. ResumenEste trabajo presenta un estudio sobre algunos libros de matemáticas publicados en castellano durante el siglo XVI. A lo largo de él, se han identificado y categorizado los ejemplos utilizados en estos manuales y su relación con las situaciones cotidianas de la época. Para ello se ha realizado un análisis histórico-matemático apoyado en la técnica de investigación del análisis de contenido de libros de texto, ampliamente utilizado por diversos autores en investigaciones relativas a la Historia de las Matemáticas y la Educación Matemática. Todas las obras analizadas presentan, en general, bastantes similitudes. En ellas se incluyen un elevado número de ejemplos aunque la gran mayoría de ellos están relacionados con asuntos comerciales y otras situaciones cotidianas de mercaderes y contadores. AbstractThis paper shows a study about some mathematics books written in Spanish and published during the 16th century. All the examples included in these books and their relations with daily situations from that time have been identified and categorized. In order to do that, we made an historical-mathematical analysis supported by the content analysis technique of textbooks, widely used by authors in researches related to the history of mathematics and mathematics education. In general, all the books included in this study present many similarities. The analysis has highlighted the large number of examples included in each book even though most of them are related to trade and to common situations of accountants and businessmen of that century. Es un hecho conocido que la estadística es una de las disciplinas que generan poca empatía entre los estudiantes. En este trabajo se presenta un estudio acerca de las actitudes hacia la estadística que manifiestan los estudiantes del primer curso del grado de Educación Infantil de la Universidad de Córdoba. Para su análisis, se utilizó una escala tipo Likert diseñada y utilizada por diversos investigadores en educación matemática. Los resultados muestran que los estudiantes evaluados valoran positivamente la materia, la consideran útil para su formación y para el futuro ejercicio de su profesión docente, pero, además de generarles poco agrado, evitan usarla fuera del aula.
Attitudes of teachers in training towards mathematics may influence their future professional performance. Therefore, in this work, it has been done an exploratory study that aims to know which the attitudes towards mathematics of students who are in their first year of the Primary Education degree from the University of Cordoba at the beginning of their studies on this subject are. The results of this research show that even though the students value mathematics positively and they consider it useful and necessary to their training, his subject also makes them feel anxiety and little liking. It also shows differences in both anxiety and little liking between women and men.
The research on the History of Mathematics and Mathematics Education has on textbook a useful tool to provide diverse types of information; this fact has led to the realization of many different studies focus on them. In this context, this work analyzes eight different sixteenth-century arithmetic books to know the different types of representations included in them. For this, it has used the historical analysis supported by the content analysis of textbooks. The results obtained show diversity between the representations included in each book. Even though verbal and numerical ones are part of every one of them, graphic representations vary from one book to another.
