In this paper we present a comparative study on tensile failure behavior of polymer stiffened composite shell structures, using infrared thermography and finite element analysis through the ABAQUS 6.13 program. The establishment of the distortion of some rectangular shaped specimens was followed. In these specimens a hole with a diameter of 15 mm was applied centrally. By means of infrared thermography, was studied experimentally the variation of the deformations over time, depending on the stress force and the evolution of the thermal field in the crack area. Simulation models of failure behavior have been performed, which have been validated by experimental results.
Aspects are presented on the interpretation of certainties by assessing risks with maximum level in order to establish reasonable limits of acceptance, tolerance or assumption of risks, supplementing environmental risk factors with external, social, financial elements and introducing a category in the work system analysis.Comparative aspects between INCDPM and MEvAR methods are presented as proposals in the associated tables. The conclusions highlight the current aspects implemented in the method and their usefulness.
The paper presents a modeling of the acoustic field emitted by a rig tender located offshore exploration in the Black Sea. Are presented measuring system, experimental context, the types of noise that participate in the overall noise budget and the conditions in which measurements were made, also are mentioned and the project established through were measured the parameters and were defined devices which these measurements were made. Measurement system used is adaptable, allowing dynamic measurements and operative analysis of the acquired data. Measurement methodology was determined by an acoustic project, which was set to be purchased both: sizes and ways of interpreting them. Modeling acoustic field shows that the maximum acoustic impact area, below 120 dB re 1μPa criterion (proposed and accepted by Marine Directive) was extended to 3-5Km distance around the ship. It is expected to produce adverse effects on the marine habitat and on the underwater life.
This study presents research regarding the calculation of the mechanical characteristics of composite polymeric materials. By using LabVIEW software a virtual instrument was created used for monitoring in real time the process of cross-linking the composite polymeric materials. The experiments were realized based on composite materials containing epoxy/fiberglass resin of different topologies. By means of the virtual instrument and of a sensor created based on the mechanical impedance analysis, implanted in the composite material, it was determined the G shearing module of the composite material at different temperatures.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
