The Javanese spoken by its speech communities in East Java hascharacteristics different from those of the Javanese spoken by its speechcommunities in other regions of Java. The characteristics can be examined in termsof its word form and word choice in everyday utterances made by its speakers. Thedifferences become more marked when one relates the utterances with the socialclassbackground of the speakers. Anchored by the findings of previous studies regarding the benefits of humor in communication, interaction and relationships, especially in the family context, this study explores the types of humor used by the mother in the Little Lupus stories to manage conflicts with her children. This research uses five stories from the Lupus Kecil (Little Lupus) series published during 1990-2000s. Data is identified, classified, and interpreted in the framework of children’s and humor studies. This study demonstrates how the mother used an affiliative, aggressive, and self-enhancing humor during conflicts with her children. Using these three styles of humor, facilitate better communication between mother and children during conflict management. This study has important implications in the context of the family relationship for a mother’s developing and using a sense of humor when managing conflict with her children.

In this study, it is explained about the development of ecopsychology in Indonesia. Related to that, the research focus are ecopsychology development and ecopsychology concretization of education in Indonesia. This research uses descriptive-qualitative approach to explain about ecopsychology in Indonesia. Based on the research results, the findings are as follows. First, the ecopsychology development in Indonesia has existed and characterized by the research which is related to ecopsychology. The research about ecopsychology in Indonesia is more likely in literature, film, and media. Ecopsychology study in psychology or ecology fields do not exist in Indonesia. Second, the ecopsychology concretization of education in Indonesia appears in the study of Literary Psychology. In the study of Literary Psychology, ecopsychology is given to students with stages (1) first stage: initial understanding of ecopsychology; (2) second stage: understanding of field in ecopsychology; (3) third stage: understanding of literature in ecopsychology perspective and (4) fourth stage: ecopsychology application in literary study.
