The government in Indonesia issues new rules to prepare pre-service teachers to be professional teachers in the future by asking them to attend additional education named Teachers Professional Education Program (locally known as Program Profesi Guru). This Case Study aimed to identify the obstacles experienced by pre-service English teachers in FKIP Universitas Riau during the PPG program and the Teaching Practicum (PPL) as a part of PPG program. This is qualitative research involving 10 alumni of the Subsidized PPG English Education Department. Focus Group Discussion was used to collect data from the participants. The data obtained were analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s thematic analysis and referred to the three procedures introduced by Flick i.e., open coding, axial coding and selective coding with the help of the Nvivo 12 software. The findings showed seven emerging obstacles faced by the pre-service English teachers during Teachers Professional Education Program (PPG). There were one (1) obstacle found at the first-semester theory program in PPG, and six (6) obstacles found at the second-semester practicum program in PPG which known as PPL.
Exploration is looking for or doing exploration with the aim of finding something. Considering that early childhood does not need theory intake, the learning process is designed using practical activities in the surrounding environment through exploration activities. The teacher's job is only as a companion and facilitator. Community service activities will be carried out in May-June 2021 with the method of discussion and delivering materials and leaflets related to the education of kindergarten children's exploration activities. The leaflet consists of 3 activities, namely water play activities, sand play and gardening activities. This Community Service (PKM) aims to be used as a source of knowledge for parents of children in Baiturrahim Islamic Kindergarten Jambi. The results of the evaluation through the question and answer are that on average the parents of kindergarten children understand and can implement exploration activities in order to increase the creativity of kindergarten children
Personal hygiene dalam mengelola masker kain merupakan bagian dari pencegahan penularan Covid-19 dengan cara memelihara dan menjaga kebersihan diri dari masker kain. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui determinan personal hygiene dalam mengelola masker kain saat pandemi Covid-19 di Kota Banda Aceh. Desain studi yang digunakan yaitu Cross Sectional analitik dengan metode pengambilan sampel Quota Sampling yang dikumpulkan secara online (Google Form) dan penyebaran kuesioner offline. Sampel penelitian merupakan masyarakat pengguna masker kain di Kota Banda Aceh yang berusia 15-64 tahun dengan jumlah total 200 orang. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dari bulan Februari – Oktober tahun 2021. Karakteristik responden terdiri atas 74,5% berjenis kelamin perempuan, 86% berusia remaja (15-25 tahun), 49% berpendidikan terakhir dasar (SD/SMP), 85,5% berstatus WFH/Daring. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 53,5% memiliki personal hygiene yang baik, 60% memiliki pengetahuan yang baik, dan 54% memiliki sikap yang baik. Terdapat hubungan signifikan (p < 0,05) antara pengetahuan dan sikap dengan personal hygiene dalam mengelola masker kain, tetapi tidak ada hubungan signifikan (p > 0,05) dengan jenis kelamin, usia, dan status aktivitas. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, maka setiap responden penelitian ini disarankan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan, sikap, dan personal hygiene yang baik dalam mengelola masker kain.Kata Kunci: Masker Kain, Personal hygiene, Protokol Kesehatan
Early childhood development is the basis of the learning process that will shape experiences and determine the developments that children will carry for life. As an initial foundation, early childhood determines the readiness and success of children in learning in education in the future. The type of research used in this research is quantitative research, namely research in which the data is in the form of numbers or qualitative data that is numbered. The design of this research is correlation with the aim of finding whether or not there is a relationship between parental knowledge and the implementation of sensory stimulation on early childhood development in Baiturrahim Islamic Kindergarten, Jambi. the level of knowledge of parents about the implementation of sensory stimulation on child development at Baiturrahim Islamic Kindergarten Jambi, most of the respondents were in the good category. The implementation of sensory stimulation on child development in Baiturrahim Islamic Kindergarten Jambi, most of the respondents were included in the category of "According" to the implementation of child development according to the stage of development. There is a relationship between the level of knowledge of parents about the implementation of sensory stimulation on child development in Baiturrahim Islamic Kindergarten Jambi.
