This paper aims to elaborate Paulo Freire's thoughts on the prophetic church and its relevance for the church today. The method used to achieve the goal is library research. In particular, it is focused on the thoughts of one educational figure, Paulo Freire, who contributed to his thoughts on liberation education by the church in the prophetic church concept. The conclusion of this paper is that education in the church is an important means of bringing about change in society. Consientization by the church is carried out in the spirit of raising the critical awareness of the congregation.

This paper focuses on interpersonal communication in interfaith families. Interfaith families are smallunits of society whose members are of different religions. Differences are often a source of conflict between husband and wife, including religion. In the way of life of interfaith couples, different opinions about beliefs cause problems. Differences are still unavoidable in families married to different religions. Religious differences can lead to prolonged conflicts. Although different religions, of course, the family has the right to live in peace and happiness as a family in general. However, it is undeniable that interfaith families cannot last long. Therefore, efforts are needed for families to be able to live with each other accepting differences in terms of different religions. Communication is one of the efforts to maintain family harmony. Lack of communication can cause rifts in the household. The purpose of the study was to describe the effectiveness of interpersonal communication for families of different religions. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach. This approach seeks to find problems and solutions in the field. Research results in interpersonal communication are communication between individuals or between groups. Interpersonal communication will be more effective if the atmosphere is equal. That is, there must be a tacit acknowledgement that both parties are equally valuable and valuable. Husbands and wives have something important to contribute. In an interpersonal relationship characterized by equality, disagreement and conflict are seen as an attempt to understand differences. This communication helps in avoiding and reducing various problems and can share knowledge and experiences with family members. There are five general qualities of interpersonal communication effectiveness for interfaith families: 1) Openness, 2) Empathy, 3) Supportive Attitude, 4) Positive Attitude, 5) Equality.

Pandemi Covid-19 sangat berdampak bagi kehidupan termasuk kehidupan bergereja. Salah satunya adalah gereja mengharuskan jemaat beribadah di rumah bukan lagi di gedung gereja. Perubahan tempat ibadah ini diikuti oleh keluarga-keluarga kristen secara khusus di jemaat GMIT Talenalain, walaupun ada perbedaan pandangan. Sekalipun mereka beribadah di rumah akan tetapi mereka sangat merindukan ibadah di gedung gereja. Perbedaan pandangan tentang tempat ibadah saat pandemi Covid-19 ini tentunya dipengaruhi oleh pemahaman teologis tentang gereja rumah atau di rumah. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk menunjukan konsep eklesiologis yang cair atau praktis-operatif bagi jemaat di tengah pandemi ini. Sejauhmana keluarga Kristen menghidupi konsep perikhoresis dalam pelaksanaan gereja rumah. Penelitiaan ini memakai metode penelitian kualitatif studi kasus. Hasilnya ditemui bahwa gereja rumah oleh keluarga dimaknai sebagai persekutuan praksis Trinitarian perikhoresis sebab di dalamnya terkandung nilai-nilai perikhoretik.

Bahaya radikalisme agama mengancam kehidupan komunitas beragama bahkan berbangsa dan bernegara. Tujuan tulisan ini menawarkan solusi melalui peranan keluarga dalam mendidik anak untuk mampu hidup bersama dalam konteks multikultural. Tujuan ini akan dicapai dengan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil yang dicapai adalah penerapan pendidikan multikultural oleh orang tua bagi anak dalam keluarga kristen. Pendidikan multikultural berbasis iman Kristen penting sebab keluarga merupakan unit terkecil dalam sebuah bangsa yang memiliki kekuatan besar dalam meminimalisir bahkan mencegah terjadinya teror yang dapat menghancurkan kehidupan beragama dan berbangsa.
