Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat gambaran keterlibatan ayah terhadap anak remajanya yang berusia 16-21 tahun.. Keterlibatan itu dilihat dari sudut pandang ayah. Ayah yang berperan aktif dalam keluarga memiliki dampak bagi dirinya sendiri dan juga bagi anak, baik anak perempuan maupun laki-laki. Keterlibatan ayah sendiri merupakan bentuk interaksi ayah terhadap anak yang tercakup dalam lima komponen, yaitu (a) <em>activity engagement</em>; (b) <em>warmth-responsiveness</em>; (c) <em>control</em>; (d) <em>indirect care</em>; dan (e) <em>process responsibility</em>. Pada remaja perempuan, peran ayah dapat membangun harga diri positif dan menumbuhkan keinginan berprestasi. Pada remaja laki-laki, peran ayah mampu mengembangkan motivasi untuk sukses dan melanjutkan pendidikan yang lebih tinggi. Penelitian ini melibatkan 201 partisipan yang merupakan seorang ayah berdomisili di DKI Jakarta dan memiliki anak berusia remaja (16-21 tahun). Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner keterlibatan ayah dari sudut pandang ayah yang mengacu pada konsep <em>father involvement</em> (Pleck, dalam Lamb, 2010) yang diadaptasi oleh Kristianto, Gurmichele, Utama, Adriel, dan Sidarta (2016). Hasil penelitian terhadap 201 partisipan mengungkapkan bahwa sebagian besar ayah memiliki keterlibatan dalam pengasuhan dan pengelolaan rumah tangga yang tergolong sedang. Hasil tambahan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada hubungan yang signifikan antara durasi kerja ayah dan keterlibatannya di dalam keluarga. Selain itu, tidak ada perbedaan keterlibatan ayah antara ayah yang memiliki istri bekerja dan tidak bekerja.
Every woman has a chance to work in any kind of job with any responsibilities, such as workingout of their domicile. For working wives, the differences between a husband’s and a wife’s rolesin the family make the working wive face a lot of conflicts due to their dual role as a worker anda homemaker. It also give effort of every women to make their life steady, even if they have multirole in their families. This can affect marriage satisfaction that it needs a good conflictmanagement to resolve the work-family conflict. This research aims to see the overview of workfamily conflict for wives who are working out of their domicile. This research is using qualitativemethod with semi-structure interview. Participants are wives who are working out of theirdomicile, as a vocal instructure (35), flight attendant (27), and geologist (44), having children anda working husband. Results show that all three participants have had different types of conflict ina various context and experience. Participants experienced job spouse conflict, job parent conflict,and job homemaker conflict. Future research should put focus on related variable with work familyconflict, such as age of marriage, conflict management, and so on.
Diabetes melitus type 2 is one of the non contagious chronic disease that the number of it patient continue to rise over the time in Indonesia. Fundamentally, this disease cannot be healed but could be managed to prevent complications. Patient with diabetes melitus type 2 frequently got limitations in their work such as discrimination at their workplace, risk of decreased productivity, and increased absence on their treatment. Those things are affecting to the most of the patient that have more than 45 years of age and they are on the top of their career. This research has an objective to get an overview of stress and their strategy of cope with it because stress has a major impact to their health condition. This research use qualitative approach with the purposive sampling. The characteristics of this research are patient with diabetes melitus type 2 disease, has 41 to 60 years of age who has done the self-care, and work in Jakarta. Result shows that participants suffer stress from the treatment of the disease although their performance productivity does not decrease. Participants use the strategy of combining problem focused coping mostly planful problem solving type and emotion focused coping such as seeking social support to manage their stress level.
The aim of this study was to compare the intelligence of Indonesians residing in different islands using the Indonesian WAIS-IV (WAIS-IV-ID), which could be further considered in standardized norm development. Statistical analyses using ANOVAs were performed on the 15 subtests, four indices, and the Full-Scale Intelligence Quotient (FSIQ) of the WAIS-IV-ID. This study involved 506 healthy participants, the majority were females, in productive age-groups ranging from 16 to 59 years old, and from middle educational background. Results showed that three indices and 13 subtest scores had significant results and the sample from Java Island had significantly higher scores than the sample from Sumatra, Borneo, and Sulawesi Islands. Based on the conducted analysis, the normative data of the WAIS-IV-ID need to be classified differently between islands or between Java Island and Non-Java Island for more accurate score interpretation. The interpretations and implications of the findings are discussed.
