The aim of this paper is to investigate the impact knowledge acquisition process, knowledge documentation process, on human capital, and impact organizational culture on documentation process, Accordingly, a questionnaire-based survey was designed to test the aforementioned model based on dataset of 302 employees’ from the National Agriculture Research Center (NARC) in Jordan, questionnaires which include 29 items were used to gather information from the respondents. Multiple regression and simple regression analyses were conducted to test the research hypotheses. This study identified knowledge acquisition and knowledge documentation are the most important factors affecting the accumulation of human capital. The results indicated that knowledge acquisition process and knowledge documentation process positively and significantly affect human capital. However, organizational culture did not prove to be positively related to knowledge documentation process. Moreover, knowledge documentation process positively and significantly mediated the relationship between knowledge acquisition process and human capital. The results have enormous implication for the government sector in Jordan.
In many ways, the application of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems is useful. In today's business arena, ERP is regarded as a necessity. Implementation of ERP is costly and requires a lot of efforts but in Jordanian organizations, its success rate has been unsatisfactory. Hence, this study attempts to identify factors linked to implementation success of ERP in Jordan. The strategic factors are examined and they include technology adoption, web site service, competitive, top management support, change management, business process management, and trust. Questionnaires were distributed to ERP users in Jordanian firms which returned 141 responses which were analyzed. The results show significant linkage between technology adoption, web site service, competitive, top management support, change management, and business process management, and ERP implementation success. Nonetheless, the findings do not support the linkage between business process management and ERP implementation success. The findings show that firms can leverage TOE for improving ERP's implementation success to gain the anticipated benefits. Also, there is possibility that different critical success factors have different impacts on ERP benefits. Such finding expands the supposition of TOE theory that resources generate competitive advantages. This paper adds to researches on ERP by providing further evidence of the differing impacts of TOE on the successful implementation of ERP.
Many studies have scrutinised the benefits of m-learning. Somehow, it is still necessary to comprehend the dissatisfaction of certain learners towards m-learning experience. Thus, this research aims to investigate the factors that might impact the acceptance of m-learning among university students: quality of service, uncertainty avoidance and trust. Portability and access to countless activities are among the advantages of mobile devices, and these foster and ease ubiquitous learning. This study scrutinises the theories and cognitive techniques to offer individualised, motivated and valuable experience of mobile education for transfer to the subsequent word learning and reading comprehension. As surveys and forms are the data sources, the quantitative methodologies are employed. Twenty six (26) items from diverse research domains were constructed in the questionnaire to measure six constructs, and undergraduate and postgraduate students of the university in Doubi were selected as respondents. Two hundred (395) completed questionnaires were obtained. Further, the modified acceptance framework on TAM and IDT theories is adopted to identify the influencing factors of students' intention to use m-Learning. Also, eight hypotheses were formulated to analyse the linkages between the factors in the proposed model. Most positive correlation between quality of service, student readiness, trust, compatibility, perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness and behavior intention to use M-Learning by empirical data. This study looks into a timely topic of integrating a mobile device amongst students at higher education in Dubai. Several crucial implications for the students are highlighted in this study.
The organization factors integral to the successful implementation of ERP systems are identified in this paper, and the organization factors under scrutiny include: Change Management, Business Process Management, and Top Management Support. Survey questionnaires were circulated to ERP users in companies in Jordan, which led to the collection and analysis of 314 responses in total. The results evidence significant relationship between change Management and top management support with ERP implementation success. However, the outcomes did not support the relationship between Business Process Management and ERP implementation success. This study could assist ERP vendors and consultants in developing countries in preparing certain strategies for dealing with the oddity between their ERP products and ERP adopting organizations. Also, both ERP adopting organizations and managers could attain awareness regarding the intricacies that are inherent in ERP installations in order to prevent obstacles while increasing the possibility of attaining the looked-for results.
