The objective of this research was to improve of social attitudes and knowledge at class V SDN Jatibening IV Kota Bekasi. Method of the researc is action research. The data were collected through participant observation using interview, observation, test, and recording. The data analysis and interpretation indicates that: (1) Syntax of role-playing model: warm up the group, select participant, set the stage, prepare the observers, enact, discuss and evaluate, rerenact, discuss and evaluate, share experiences and generalize. (2) Students have a positive response to the learning of role playing methods. (3) Learning through role playing methods can improve social attitudes and knowledge. The findings lead to the recommendation to practice continous education, to increase social attitudes and knowledge through role playing methods.
<span lang="EN-ID">This study aims to determine the increase in ecoliteracy and creativity in waste utilization by using a project-based-learning (PBL) model in social studies learning. This research is a classroom action research (Action Research). The design of the action model used is the Kemmis and Mc model. Taggart. This research was conducted in the fifth grade (V) of Primary Schools. Data collection techniques used in the study were observation sheet, interview, documentation, and field notes instruments. The results of this study showed that there was an increase in ecolithicacy ability.</span><span lang="EN-ID">Based on the results of the pretest conducted on December 17, 2018, it can be seen that students in Telajung 02 Public Elementary School have not had the ability of Ecoliteracy and students' creativity in utilizing waste. Of the 32 students, the highest score that can be obtained is only 40 from a maximum score of 100. While the lowest value obtained is 20 from a maximum score of 100. In the first cycle, around 63% of students classified as having high ecoliteration ability, 9% classified as having the low ecoliteration ability and 28% classified as having the very low ecoliteration ability. </span><span lang="EN-ID">In cycle II, there was an increase, around 90% of students classified as having high ecoliteration ability, 6% classified as having the low ecoliteration ability and 4% classified as having low ecoliteration ability. </span><span lang="EN-ID">The average value of ecoliteration ability in the first cycle was 87.6 and the second cycle increased to 78.2. In addition, students become more active in the learning process and more courageous in expressing their opinions. This shows that the ecoliteracy and creativity of students can be improved through the project-based-learning model.</span>
Religiuosity, spirituality, and adolescents' self-adjustment. The objective of this study is to test the correlation among religiosity, spirituality and adolescents' self-adjustment. A quantitative approach was employed in this study. Data were collected from 476 junior high schools students of 13 State Junior High Schools and one Junior High School Muhammadiyah in Magelang city. Data were collected using religiosity, spirituality and adolescents' self-adjustment questionnaires. The results of this research showed that there is a significant correlation between religiuosity, spirituality, and adolescents' self-adjustment and there are some differences between male and female adolescents' self-adjustment.
This study aimed to determine students’ career understanding on the career decision making self-efficacy of Junior High School students in Central Java Province. The study used qualitative method, comparative test for data analysis, and self-efficacy scale to collect the career decision making data of students who have and have not gained career understanding. In this way, Bandura’s theory of self-efficacy was used as a framework theory, while cluster random sampling was employed to collect the study sample (N = 311). The data collection was done through a direct survey using 25 questions regarding career decision making self-efficacy (CDSE-SF) and career understanding questionnaire. Based on the data analysis, the researchers found significant differences in CDSE-SF results of students who have gained career understanding and not, including (1) Understanding of various alternative jobs (t(311) = 4.911, p < .000), (2) Information on the world of work requirements (t(311) = 4.602, p <.000), (3) Information on job vacancies (t(311) = 4.111, p < .000), and (4) Understanding of job qualifications (t(311) = 3.460, p < .001). These findings recommend the students to improve their career decision making using career guidance and counseling strategies in form of various alternative services, such as career counselling services, group guidance, classroom service, and even support from other parties.
