This research aims to (1) identify the current indirect economic benefit resources of Hasanuddin University’s urban forest (2) find out the indirect economic benefit value of Hasanuddin University’s urban forest. This research has been implemented for 6 months during March to August 2018. The economic benefit value consists of wood value, coolness value and water absorption value. Method used to obtain the wood value is calculated based on market price approach, the coolness value of the urban forest is based on the market value of substitute goods while the water absorption value is calculated based on the trees’ ability in absorbing water. The research result shows that the urban forest of Hasanuddin University has a very large and high benefit value. Some indirect economic benefit values contained in the urban forest are of the wood value, coolness benefit value and water absorption benefit value. The wood value of Hasanuddin University’s urban forest is Rp. 46.586.400/year The coolness economic value is calculated from the total cost of procuring Air Conditioner (AC) and the maintenance cost. The coolness value of Hasanuddin University’s urban forest is Rp. 3.6828.000.000. The economic value of water absorption of Hasanuddin University’s urban forest is calculated based on the trees’ ability to hold water. The economic value of water absorption of Hasanuddin University’s urban forest is Rp. 384.189,12/days so that the water absorption of Hasanuddin University’s urban forest is Rp. 140.229.028,8/year.
This study aims to determine the value of the economic benefits of sugar palm plants utilized by the community. The research was conducted for 2 months, starting from September to October 2018. The preparatory phase was to determine the location of the study, namely in the Village of Ko'mara, Polongbangkeng District, North Takalar District. With the consideration that in the village there are many sugar palm plants. The next step is identification to see how many people manage palm sugar plants to produce processed palm products. Based on the results of identification obtained 12 respondents. Calculation of the economic value of sugar palm plants is done by calculating income based on market prices. The results showed that sugar palm plants had been processed into Brown Sugar, Kolang Kaling and Ijuk. The value of the economic benefits of the production of Red Sugar is Rp. 99,575,000 / year with a percentage of 69.40%, the production of Kolang-Kaling is Rp. 26,188,000 / year with a percentage of 18.25%, and the production of Ijuk is Rp. 17,700,000 / year with a percentage of 12.33%. The total value of the economic benefits of sugar palm plants is Rp. 143,463,000 / year.
Penelitian ini bermaksud untuk mengetahui nilai manfaat ekonomi diversifikasi produk bambu. Penelitian dilaksanakan selama 2 bulan di Desa Namo Kecamatan Kulawi Kabupaten Sigi, dengan pertimbangan bahwa didesa tersebut terdapat hutan bambu rakyat yang dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat untuk memproduksi bambu. Berdasarkan hasil identifikasi diperoleh 25 responden. Analisis nilai manfaat ekonomi produk olahan tanaman bambu menggunakan metode valuasi ekonomi dengan menghitung pendapatan masyarakat berdasarkan harga pasar (market price). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tanaman bambu dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat untuk diproduksi menjadi meja, kursi dan rak TV. Nilai manfaat ekonomi tanaman bambu yang diproduksi menjadi meja sebesar Rp. 15.113.000/tahun dengan persentase produk 44,50%, nilai manfaat ekonomi tanaman bambu yang diproduksi menjadi kursi sebesar Rp. 10.577.750/tahun dengan persentase produk 31,15%, nilai manfaat ekonomi tanaman bambu yang diproduksi menjadi rak TV sebesar Rp. 8.268.500/tahun dengan persentase produk 24,35%, sehingga total nilai manfaat ekonomi diversifikasi produk bambu menjadi meja, kursi dan rak TV sebesar Rp. 33.959.250/tahun
