This research aimed to examine the relationship between religiousity andsubjective well being among coronary heart patients in X hospital. It was hypothesizedthat there is a positive relationship between religiousity and subjective well being. Therewere 67 coronary heart patients in this research between the ages of 40 and 80 years old.Data analysis using Product Moment correalation technique showed r = 0,417 with p <0,01 pointing out that there is significant positive correlation between religiousity andsubjective well being. That result proved that hypothesis was accepted. Anotherconclusion of this study is religiousity and subjective well being of coronary heart patientsare at the medium category.
The purpose of this study was to examine the correlation between the dimensions of coping stress and stress among nurses who work on psychiatric units. The hypothesis stated in this study is that there is a correlation between the dimensions of coping stress and stress among nurses who work on psychiatric units at psychiatric hospital "X". This study used two scale, coping stress scale and stress scale. Subject of this study are psychiatryc units nurses who work in psychiatric hospital "X". The data from this study was analyzed using correlation product moment technique from Pearson. The result showed that there is no significant correlation between the dimensions of coping stress and stress among nurses who work on pyshiatric room. The analysis result between problem focused coping dimension and stress showed that r = 0.091; p = 0.210 (p > 0.05). Meanwhile, the analysis result between emotional focused coping and stress showed that r = -0.042; p=0.709 (p>0.05). Therefore, the result of this research suggest that there is no significant correlations between the dimensions of coping stress and stress among nurses who work on pyshiatric room.
Adjustment in the freshmen students that leaving home for college is a process for an individual facing changes and learning to fit in with a new environment. Subjective well-being is one indicator of individual's and society's quality of life. Adolescent subjective well-being should therefore be studied to understand the factors that may promote life satisfaction and positive affect of adolescents. These factors mitigate the negative effects of stressful life events against the development of psychological and behavioral problems. This study aims to determine the role of self-esteem, forgiveness, and perception of family harmony in subjective well-being of adolescents. Subjects of this study were 226 adolescents (aged 12-21 years old). The result of multiple regression analysis indicated that self-esteem, forgiveness, and perception of family harmony simultaneously served as predictors of subjective well-being in adolescents (F=48.271; p<.01). However, from beta coefficients of each predictor, it was evident that only self-esteem served as a predictor of adolescents' subjective well-being (p<.01), whereas forgiveness and perception of family harmony did not serve as predictors of subjective well-being in adolescents (p>.05). The results also showed that the coefficient of multiple determination for subjective well-being was 0.387 (seen from Adjusted R Square), meaning that 38.7% variance of subjective well-being in adolescents of this study was influenced by self-esteem, forgiveness, and the perception of family harmony, while 61.3% was influenced by other variables.
