Aim of this study is to determine the relationship between cultural intelligence and academic selfefficacy of undergrads, in terms of different variables. A total of 169 people, (101 male/68 female) participated in the research. "Cultural Intelligence Scale" and "Academic Self-Efficacy Scale" were used in the research. Mann-Whitney U test was used for paired comparisons and Kruskal Wallis H test was used for multiple comparisons in the statistical analysis. Spearman correlation test was utilized to determine relationship between the scales. As a result of the research, it was determined that there were significant differences according to department of education and year of education variable and there were not significant differences according to other variables that are gender, place of accommodation and status of being interested in sports. When the relationship between academic self-efficacy and cultural intelligence was examined, it was concluded that there was a significant and positive relationship below the medium level.
This research was carried out in order to investigate self-esteem of high school teachers in Erzurum while making decision and their decision making styles in terms of some variables. In the research, descriptive survey method which aimed to reveal current situation, was used. A total of 160 teachers-of whom 37 are female and 123 are male-working in high schools in Erzurum in 2018-2019 spring semester, participated in the research. In the research, "Melbourne Decision Making Questionnaire" developed by Mann et al. (1998) and adapted to Turkish by Deniz (2004) and "Personal Information Form" developed by researchers were used as data collection tool. Independent Samples T-Test was used in paired comparisons and one-way Anova test was used in multiple comparisons. In multiple comparisons, Tukey-test was used in order to determine between which groups difference existed. Margin of error was considered as 0.05 in this study. As a result of the research, when demographic variables were examined, it was seen that postponer decision making style which is sub-dimension of scale of self-esteem in decision making and decision making styles differentiated according to gender variable of the participants. It was seen that carefully decision making dimension which is sub-dimension of decision making styles scale differentiated significantly according to administrative function variable; and also in age variable, avoidant decision making and panic decision making sub-dimensions which are sub-dimensions of decision making styles scale differentiated significantly. In professional seniority variable, it was determined that avoidant decision making sub-dimension which is sub-dimension of decision making styles scale differentiated significantly.
The aim of this study is to determine the relationship between orientation and rhythm ability of children doing karate. Children who do karate from Turkey participated in the study. Their age is 14.60 ± 0.82 years; height, 1.60 ± 0.06 m and weight, 53.40 ± 7.01 kg. 20 numbered medicine ball run tests and sprint test with given rhythm were used to determine orientation and rhythm ability of the subjects. The study showed that their rhythm ability affected their orientation performance (p<0.05). Rhythm ability (r=0.456) displayed a positively significant relationship (p<0.05). İn conclusion, the rhythm ability affected the orientation performance of the children. İt is expected that the orientation ability will develop when the rhythm ability is developed.
Introduction and Purpose: Metaverse is a newly concept frequently discussed in many fields such as health, art, sports, entertainment, education, trade, and marketing. The scope and actuality of this concept, which expresses a new digital world beyond the universe, necessitated this study. In thisstudy, gender, age, duration of social media usage and levels of metaverse knowledge, awareness, attitude of university students were tried to be analyzed statistically in terms of variables such as playing digital games, using e-commerce, communicating with other individuals in virtual channels and the availability of crypto money.Methods and Materials: In the study, the survey model, one of the quantitative research methods, was preferred. Independent Sample T Test and Pearson Correlation tests were used to analyze data with a normal distribution. The population of the research includes students studying at Ağrı İbrahim Çeçen University, Faculty of Sport Sciences in the 2021-2022 academic year, and the sample group consists of 271 students, 122 Gender and 149 male, studying in different departments of the same faculty. Apart from the personal information form, ‘Metaverse Scale’ developed by Süleymanoğulları et al. was used as a data collection tool.Findings: According to the results, the metaverse knowledge, attitude, and awareness levels of male participants are higher than Genders in the sub-dimensions of digitalization and lifestyle. While a positive and weak relationship was found between the participants’ average daily social media usage time and the technology sub-dimension average score, the analysis results indicate the levels of the participants who engage in e-commerce in the technology, digitalization, and lifestyle sub-dimensions are higher. Finally, it has been found that the metaverse knowledge, attitude and awareness levels of the students who have crypto money in the sub-dimensions of technology, digitalization and lifestyle are higher than those in the other group.Conclusion: According to the results of this study, it can be said that the metaverse attitudes, awarenessand knowledge levels of the university students who constitute the sample group of the research differ depending on sociocultural and socioeconomic factors.
