The emergence of terrorism against girls' education continues to prevent a large number of girls from attending school. The imminent fear of terrorist attacks also infiltrates the female teaching fraternity through their perceived job risk, job anxiety, and death sensitivity. This study echoes the female teachers' vulnerability through time‐lagged data gathered from Pakistan's terrorism‐affected areas. The findings unveiled the negative role of female teachers' perceived threats of terrorism in stimulating their job anxiety. This study also investigated the moderating effect of female teachers' perceived resilience in a jeopardizing context. The results of the study unveiled a significant positive association between female teachers' perceived threats of terrorism and their perceived job risk. The findings also confirmed a significant positive association between female teachers' perceived job risk and job anxiety. Furthermore, the mediating role of perceived job risk between perceived threats of terrorism and job anxiety was confirmed. Finally, the buffering effect of female teachers' perceived resilience weakens the link between perceived job risk and job anxiety. The results showed that female teachers' perceived job risk accounted for 31.8% of the variance in their job anxiety. The study's scope attempts to address the sensitive issue of society and provides a viable solution.

This case discusses about the dilemma faced by a famous barber Mr. Fayaz, who has been refused by his loyal customers to get their services from him at the age of 55 years. The incident has taken him to think seriously about his future as a barber and the future of his sons, who share the same profession with him. Over the years, his son Meer has changed the image of the salon from a traditional salon into a trendier and sophisticated salon keeping in mind the changing mind set of consumer and services provided by leading salons of Pakistan. At a brainstorming session, Mr. Fayaz & Meer are trying to address three difficult questions: Was it just an incident and could it be ignorable? What future growth options are available to sustain our position? Would closing the business and investing in some other business be a viable option?
The purpose of this paper is to describe the various attitudes of alumni towards engagement in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) of Pakistan, based on a phenomenological study of their lived experiences. Empirical data was collected in the form of semi-structured interviews and focus group discussions with 26 alumni from eight selected public HEIs of Pakistan, which was later analysed through employing Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA). This paper highlights six superordinate themes which indicated that alumni held strong determination to engage with institutions to meet the financial sustainability challenge, provided that institutions observed adequate communication and engagement efforts with them. Theoretically, this paper extended the use of S-O-R framework in the higher education philanthropic domain where institutional engagement efforts and personal connection, coupled with emotional bonding, led to alumni engagement with institutions. In addition, this study also contextually extended the use of social exchange theory where the inclination of alumni to engage with institutions is driven by their sense of indebtedness and serving the community.
