Online learning during the pandemic is a challenge for teachers in the learning process. Learning in a short time makes teachers choose to use the lecture and assignment method. This will affect students' critical thinking skills which tend to be underdeveloped because they only memorize and look for answers. The problem solving model assisted by YouTube videos is a solution in the online learning process. The problem solving model not only makes students' critical thinking skills increase, but this model can develop students' creativity in discussing and conducting group activities followed by strengthening skills. The help of YouTube videos makes subject matter accessible anytime, anywhere, it can increase students' knowledge and provide a stimulus. This study aims to determine whether there is an effect of the YouTube-assisted problem solving model on the critical thinking skills of SMAN 10 Malang students. This research is quantitative research with experimental methods. The research design used a quasi-experimental with posttest control group design. Class X Mathematics and Natural Sciences was chosen as the research subject, random sampling was used to determine the experimental class and the control class. The results of the posttest showed that the experimental class average was 65.14 and the control class was 55.28, so that there was an effect of the problem solving model assisted by YouTube videos on the critical thinking skills of SMAN 10 Malang students. Pembelajaran daring pada masa pandemi menjadi tantangan tersendiri bagi guru dalam proses pembelajaran. Pembelajaran dalam waktu yang singkat membuat guru memilih menggunakan metode ceramah dan penugasan. Hal ini akan mempengaruhi kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa yang cenderung kurang berkembang karena hanya menghafal dan mencari jawaban. Model problem solving berbantuan video youtube menjadi solusi dalam proses pembelajaran online. Model problem solving tidak hanya membuat kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa meningkat, namun model ini dapat mengembangkan kreativitas siswa dalam berdiskusi dan melakukan kegiatan kelompok yang diikuti dengan penguatan keterampilan. Bantuan video youtube membuat materi pelajaran dapat diakses kapanpun, dimanapun, dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan siswa dan memberikan stimulus. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh model problem solving berbantuan youtube terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa SMAN 10 Malang. Penelitian ini ialah penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen. Desain penelitian menggunakan eksperimen semu dengan posttest control group design. Kelas X MIPA dipilih sebagai subjek penelitian, random sampling digunakan sebagai penentuan kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Hasil posttest menunjukkan rata-rata kelas eksperimen 65,14 dan kelas kontrol 55,28 sehingga terdapat pengaruh model problem solving berbantuan video youtube terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa SMAN 10 Malang.
Scouting education is used as a learning model in schools through the actualization system of scouting education to support curriculum goals. These methods can provide students with a new learning experience while also honing their spatial thinking skills. The spatial framework of thinking that is built-in scouting education with Geography subjects is what makes it suitable. The goals of this research are to: 1) understand how the scouting education actualization system is implemented in geography classes, and 2) understand how the scouting education actualization system affects spatial thinking skills in geography classes. This research uses a quasi-experimental method in the form of time series design and hypothesis testing using a paired sample t-test. The method was applied because this study used one experimental class as the same sample but had two data points that is pre-test and post-test scores. The results test of hypothesis obtained are Sig. (2-tailed) 0.000 less than 0.05, these results are relevant and can support previous studies. It can be concluded the actualization system of scouting education has an influence on spatial thinking skills in geography classes. Pendidikan kepramukaan digunakan sebagai model pembelajaran di sekolah melalui sistem aktualisasi pendidikan kepramukaan guna menunjang tujuan kurikulum. Penggunaan metode tersebut dapat memberikan suatu pengalaman belajar baru dan mengasah keterampilan berpikir spasial siswa. Kesesuaian antara pendidikan kepramukaan dengan mata pelajaran Geografi terletak pada kerangka berpikir spasial yang dibangun. Penelitian ini bertujuan: 1) mengetahui penerapan sistem aktualisasi pendidikan kepramukaan pada mata pelajaran Geografi dan 2) mengetahui pengaruh sistem aktualisasi pendidikan kepramukaan terhadap keterampilan berpikir spasial pada mata pelajaran Geografi. Penelitian ini menggunakan eksperimen semu dengan bentuk time series design dan uji hipotesis menggunakan paired sample t-test. Metode tersebut diterapkan karena penelitian ini menggunakan satu kelas eksperimen sebagai sampel yang sama namun mempunyai dua data yakni nilai pre-test & post-test. Hasil uji hipotesis yang diperoleh adalah Sig. (2-tailed) 0,000 < 0,05, hasil tersebut relevan dan dapat mendukung penelitian sebelumnya. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh dari sistem aktualisasi pendidikan kepramukaan terhadap keterampilan berpikir spasial pada mata pelajaran Geografi.
Students are required to master critical thinking skill because they can train student in information management and logical decision making. The conduct of research is for the known influence of guided inquiry model in student' critical thinking skill. Research method used is quasi experiment with post test control group design which aims to obtain results from student' critical think skill and the known difference on critical thinking skill of student who are given the behavior model of teaching and conventional inquiry teaching. Student of class X IPS 1 and X IPS 2 at SMAN 1 Tile in the gasal semester of the 2020/2021 school year became a research sample of each class of 40 student. Data collection using LKS and post test question critical think skill. The results of this research showed the post test scores that there was a significant effect of using the guided inquiry learning model on the tenth grade students’ critical thinking skills, that can be seen there was a significant difference on the average value between the experimental class who taught by used the guided inquiry model and the class control who taught by using the conventional model, the students’ mean score of the experimental class was 90.85 and the score of control class is 77. Therefore, we can concluded that there’s significant effect of using the guided inquiry model on the tenth grade students’ critical thinking skills towards Geography subject at SMAN 1 Genteng. Siswa diharuskan menguasai keahlian berpikir kritis sebab bisa melatih siswa dalam pengelolaan informasi dan pengambilan keputusan logis. Dilakukannya penelitian ialah guna diketahuinya pengaruh model inkuiri terbimbing pada keahlian berpikir kritis siswa. Teknik penelitian yakni Quasi experiment dengan post test control group design guna mendapat hasil dari keahlian berpikir kritis siswa serta diketahuinya pembeda keahlian berpikir kritis siswa yang diberikan perilaku model belajar mengajar inkuiri terbimbing dan konvensional. Siswa kelas X IPS 1 dan X IPS 2 di SMAN 1 Genteng semester gasal tahun ajaran 2020/2021 menjadi sampel penelitian yakni setiap kelas 40 siswa. Pengumpulan data memakai LKS dan soal post test keahlian berpikir kritis. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan model pembelajaran inkuiri mempunyai pengaruh dalam kemampuan siswa untuk berpikir kritis yakni nilai rata-rata yang dihasilkan berbeda antara kelas kontrol dengan model konvensional serta kelas eksperimen yang diberikan model inkuiri terbimbing yang mana nilai rata-rata 90,85 diperoleh dari kelas eksperimen sementara 77 ada pada kelas kontrol. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dalam ilmu pelajaran Geografi siswa kelas X IPS SMAN 1 Genteng dapat dipengaruhi dengan model inkuiri terbimbing.
This study aims to improve analytical thinking skills in geography subjects in class XI IPS 2 SMAN 1 Kademangan Blitar using the Discovery Learning learning. This research is a Class Action Research. This type of research aims to overcome problems that are in the classroom that have been observed before. The students targeted by the study were in class XI IPS 2 with the number of students, namely 34 students, with the number of men 11 and women 23 students. Data collection techniques use primary data obtained from the implementation of actions. Research instruments used in the form of test questions and field records. The data analysis used is to compare the average score of students' analytical thinking skills The average result of the analytical thinking skills test score in cycle I was 64 while in cycle II it was 83 so that it increased the score by 19 with a percentage of 29.6875%. Conclusions from the results of the study reveal that the application of Discovery Learning can improve students' analytical thinking skills. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir analitis pada mata pelajaran geografi di kelas XI IPS 2 SMAN 1 Kademangan Blitar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Discovery Learning. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Jenis penelitian ini yang bertujuan untuk mengatasi masalah yang berada di dalam kelas yang sudah di observasi sebelumnya. Siswa yang menjadi sasaran penelitian berada di kelas XI IPS 2 dengan jumlah siswa yaitu 34 siswa, dengan jumlah laki-laki 11 dan perempuan 23 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan data primer yang diperoleh dari pelaksanaan tindakan. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa soal tes dan catatan lapangan. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah dengan membandingkan skor rata-rata kemampuan berpikir analitis siswa. Hasil rata-rata skor tes kemampuan berpikir analitis pada siklus I adalah 64 sedangkan pada siklus II yaitu 83 sehingga mengalami peningkatan skor sebesar 19 dengan presentase 29.6875%. Kesimpulan dari hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa penerapan Discovery Learning dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir analitis siswa.
