This study aims to determine the prevalence of menopausal symptoms and the factors that influence it in women aged 40-65 years in Denpasar, Indonesia. The research design used is a cross-sectional study conducted on 318 women aged 40-65 years who live in the area of community health centre in Denpasar City, Indonesia. The Stages of Reproductive Aging Workshop (STRAW+10) was used to classify pre, peri and post menopause. The instrument used is a self-designed instrument to determine the respondent's characteristics such as age, number of children, age at menarche, occupation, marital status, education, exercise habits, coffee drinking habits and history of hypertension and diabetes mellitus. know menopausal symptoms. Logistic regression was used to determine risk factors for severe menopausal symptoms. The most common symptoms felt by the respondents in this study were joint and muscle discomfort (52.8%) and sleep problems (51.8%). Only 32.1% of women experienced hot flushes and night sweats symptoms of moderate and severe severity. Age at menarche, history of chronic diseases such as hypertension and diabetes mellitus are risk factors for severe menopausal symptoms. Most women when entering menopause complain of more than one menopause symptom, both somatic, psychological and urogenital symptoms.
The Covid-19 pandemic has had a wide impact on all areas of life, especially health. One of the serious impacts that need to be addressed is the utilization of health services among people with a history of co-morbidities, the most common of which is hypertension. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors associated with the utilization of health services among patients with hypertension during the Covid-19 pandemic in West Lombok Regency, Indonesia. This study used a cross-sectional study design involving 435 hypertensive patients, selected using cluster sampling. The research instrument was a questionnaire, and the data was analyzed using univariate (frequency and proportion), bivariate (Chi-square and Fisher’s exact test), and multivariate analysis (multiple logistic regression). The majority of respondents (72.4%) utilized health services, and from the results of the multivariate analysis, the significant factors associated with the utilization were health status (Adj.OR: 0.25; p<0.001); availability (Adj.OR: 6.79; p<0.001); and acceptability (Adj.OR: 0.06; p<0.001). Improving the utilization of health services among patients with hypertension is necessary, as is expanding access to hypertension health services through strengthening health centers, mobile health center services, community integrated services for non-communicable diseases, and home visits.
Pregnancy is an important experience that brings about many changes. Changes that occur in pregnancy can have. an impact on the psychological aspects of pregnant women, in addition to hormonal changes during pregnancy. These hormonal changes can cause the mother to experience some emotional changes that can cause anxiety. The fulfillment of emotional needs can be provided by providing emotional support to pregnant women. Emotional support is the support that is manifested in the form of affection, trust, attention, listening, and being listened to. With emotional support, it is hoped. that it will be able to control the emotional level of the mother so that it can. reduce the. level of anxiety of pregnant women in facing the delivery process. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between emotional support and the level of anxiety of primigravida pregnant women in the third trimester in facing the delivery process at the South Kuta Health Center. The design of this research is correlative analytic with a cross-sectional approach. The samples used in this study. were all primigravida pregnant women in the third trimester, totaling 106 respondents. Collecting data using a questionnaire and data analysis using spearman rho. The results of this study indicate that most respondents have good emotional support (92,5%) and most mothers experience mild anxiety (36,8%). The results of the bivariate test showed that there. is. a significant negative relationship between emotional support and anxiety levels of pregnant. women, r = - 0.420, p- value = 0,001 < 0,05. This study concludes that there is a relationship between emotional support and the level of anxiety of primigravida pregnant women in the third trimester in facing childbirth at the South Kuta Health.Center.
<p><em>Taking care of pregnant women is basically an effort to monitor maternal and child health in order to create a family with quality and live in a healthy environment. The role of family, values and norms and social environment greatly influences the care of pregnant women physically, mentally, spiritually, and socially. This study aims to clarify the educational value of Hindu in taking care of pregnant women and its social implications in the Balinese Hindu community, especially in Denpasar City. The interview, observation and document study techniques were used as data acquisition in this study. Furthermore, the techniques of data analysis were carried out through a data reduction process or selected according to the research objectives. In the process of data analysis, the data were carried out through the research continuously from the beginning to the end of the study. Through a systematic process of tracking and regulating interview transcripts, field notes and other materials, the finding indicated that: 1) the educational value of Hindu in taking care of pregnant women includes; psychological education, then ethics education, theological education, health education; 2) The social implication that applied in the educational value of Hindu in taking care of pregnant women psychologically, mothers would feel comfortable and happy, could support the health of pregnant women and have positive implications for the fetus indirectly in forming good character.</em></p>
Latar Belakang. Angka kejadian DBD di Provinsi Bali terus menerus meningkat setiap tahunnya. Kabupaten Buleleng tercatat sebagai kabupaten dengan incident rate tertinggi yaitu sebanyak 1.631 kasus pada tahun 2019. Faktor-faktor yang diduga terlibat dalam tingginya kejadian ini adalah pengetahuan dan sikap yang kurang sehingga berdampak terhadap perilaku yang buruk dalam pencegahan DBD. Tujuan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan pengetahuan dan sikap dengan perilaku pencegahan DBD pada masyarakat di Kabupaten Buleleng. Metodelogi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah analitik correlation, dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah masyarakat Desa Panji Anom Kecamatan Sukasada Kabupaten Buleleng sebanyak 95 orang yang dipilih menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Instrument yang digunakan adalah kuesioner yang sudah valid (face validity). Teknik analisa menggunakan uji Spearman Rho. Hasil. Dari 95 responden didapatkan yaitu masyarakat yang mempunyai pengetahuan yang cukup yakni sebanyak 53 (55.8%) orang, sikap yang cukup yakni sebanyak 52 (54.7%) orang, dan perilaku yang cukup yakni sebanyak 54 (56.8%) orang. Hasil uji Spearman Rho ditemukan terdapat hubungan antara pengetahuan dengan perilaku (r = 0.308, p-value = 0.002), serta terdapat hubungan antara sikap dengan perilaku (r = 0.601, p-value = 0.000) pencegahan DBD pada masyarakat di Kabupaten Buleleng. Diskusi. Sebagian besar responden mempunyai pengetahuan, sikap dan perilaku yang cukup serta terdapat hubungan antara pengetahuan dengan perilaku pencegahan DBD dan terdapat hubungan antara sikap dengan perilaku pencegahan DBD. Saran meningkatkan partisipasi masyarakat dalam kegiatan pemberantasan sarang nyamuk dan mengoptimalkan kegiatan penyuluhan atau sosialisasi pada masyarakat di Desa Panji Anom tentang pencegahan DBD.
