The research deals with The Violation of Cooperative Principle in Japanese Variety Show Gyouretsu no Dekkiru Houritsu Soudanjo. This research aims to identify types and function of the violation of cooperative principle in Japanese variety show gyouretsu no dekiru houritsu soudanjo. The theory used are cooperation principle (Grice, 1975) and speech acts theory (Searle, 1979). The data are collected using the method of referring by listening to the variety show and transcribing the data. This research is analyzed with padan pragmatic method.To present the result of data analysis using informal method. Based on the analysis, there are 20 forms of violation of cooperative principle. There are 7 data which violated the maxim of quantity, 4 data which violated the maxim of quality, 5 data which violated the maxim of relevance, 4 data which violated the maxim of manner, and 1 data which violated 2 maxim. There are, violated the maxim of quantity and violated the maxim of relevance. The purposes of violating cooperative principle in variety show gyouretsu no dekiru houritsu soudanjo consist 5 illocutionary speech acts. These purposes are 1) assertive: complaining, informing, lying, and enforcing; 2) directive: consenting, requesting, and ordering; 3) expressive: mocking, arrogant, joking, teasing, thanking, pardoning, deploring, ridiculing, and praising; 5) declarative: deciding, to say an opinion, and naming.
The research entitled “Speech Acts of Prohibition in Comic Yotsubato by Kiyohiko Azuma” is aimed to identify various form of speech acts of prohibition and the factors behind the use of the said speech acts in the comic Yotsubato by Kiyohiko Azuma. This research applied the theory of speech acts by Wijana (1996) and level of politeness factors according to Mizutani and Mizutani (1987). The method of collecting data used in the research is attentive observation method, which is done by observing the speech in the comic. Afterwards, the obtained data is noted by applying note-taking technique. The data analysis is done by using pragmatic identity method. Later on, in the data presentation, informal method is used. The result of the analysis indicates that in the comic Yotsubato, found 9 data that categorized as direct speech acts of prohibition and 7 data that categorized as indirect speech acts of prohibition. Then, there are 4 factors behind the use of the speech acts of prohibition in the comic Yatsubato, namely 1) familiarity factors; 2) age; 3) social distance; and 4) gender.
The title of this research is “The Usage of Speech Acts and Implicatur in Yougisha X no Kenshin novel by Keigo Higashino“. This research aims to determine the kind of speech acts and the meaning of implicatur contained in Japanese novel and used the Speech Acts Theory by Austin (1962) and Coorporation Maxim Theory by Grice (1975). The results of this research showed that there are four kinds of speech acts in Yougisha X no Kenshin novel by Keigo Higashino, such as locutionary act, illocutionary act, perlocutionary act and those three types of speech acts in one speech. The speech acts that often appears in Yougisha X no Kenshin novel is the illocutionary act. Furthermore, there are three kind of maxim in Yougisha X no Kenshin novel, such as maxim of quantity, maxim of quality, maxim of relation and maxim of manner. Based on the results of this research, the maxim that often appears in Yougisha X no Kenshin novel by Keigo Higashino are maxim of quantity and maxim of relation.
Onomatopoeia is a characteristic of Japanese language that is very interesting to learn. However, due to the large number of Japanese onomatopoeias while their counterparts in Indonesian are very limited, sometimes these onomatopoeia become a constraint when the Japanese learner wants to understand more deeply about the meaning of the onomatopoeias. The cultural differences and background of the usages of onomatopoeia in Japan as well as in Indonesia cause problems in the translation process.This research title is “Translation Strategies and Shift of Meaning of Onomatopoeia in JKT48’s Song Lyrics”. The data analysed using descriptive method. This research used the theory of translation strategies by Baker (1992) and componential analysis by Bell (1993). There are seven strategies of translation that used to translate the onomatopoeia. Translation strategy by paraphrase using unrelated words caused the shift of meaning of onomatopoeias. There are five onomatopoeia in four song lyrics that causing the shift of meaning.

Konsep aimai hy?gen ini berfokus pada gaya bahasa yang digunakan melalui makna-makna yang tidak jelas atau tidak pasti oleh karena terlalu banyaknya makna yang dimiliki oleh ungkapan tersebut. Hal ini bertujuan untuk menghindari penggunaan ungkapan yang lugas, tegas, dan jelas. Berdasarkan fenomena tersebut, maka beberapa aimai hy?gen yang dikaitkan dengan prinsip kesantunan Leech dibahas dalam makalah ini.
