One of the efforts to improve employee performance is through improvements in time management and communication within the organization. The increasing of time management and communication is expected to increase work motivation for employees. The increasing of employee’s motivation is also expected to have an impact on improving the performance of the employees themselves. This study aims to examine the employee performance through time management, communication and work motivation that was conducted at the Kepeng Money Craft Industry in Kamasan Village, Klungkung District, which involving all 40 company employees as research respondents. This research was conducted in a census. The distribution of questionnaire to the respondents is the method used in collecting the data, then the data is processed using the Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Square (PLS) method, through the SmartPLS 3.0 program, at a significance level of 0.05 (5%). The results of this study found that time management, communication, and work motivation each had a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Time management has a significant positive effect on work motivation. Time management has a significant positive effect on employee performance. Communication has a significant positive effect on work motivation. Communication has a significant positive effect on employee performance. Work motivation has a significant positive effect on employee performance. Work motivation mediates some of the effects of time management on employee performance. Work motivation mediates some of the effects of communication on the performance of employees of the kepeng handicraft industry in Kamasan Village, Klungkung Regency.
Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui dan menjelaskan bagaimana pengaruh pendidikan kewirausahaan dan nilai-nilai budaya Bali (jengah, taksu, dan menyamabraya) terhadap niat kewirausahaan. Metode pengumpulan sampel yang digunakan adalah metode purposive sampling dengan kriteria yaitu mahasiswa semester VII yang sudah mengikuti pelatihan dan mata kuliah kewirausahaan di Universitas Warmadewa. Jumlah responden 102 orang. Universitas Warmadewa merupakan perguruan tinggi swasta yang memiliki mahasiswa terbanyak di Bali. Teknik analisis mempergunakan analisis regresi linear berganda. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan: Pengaruh pendidikan kewirausahaan terhadap niat kewirausahaan positif dan tidak signifikan, Pengaruh nilai budaya jengah terhadap niat kewirausahaan positif dan signifikan, Pengaruh nilai budaya taksu terhadap niat kewirausahaan negatif dan tidak signifikan. Pengaruh nilai budaya menyamabraya terhadap niat kewirausahaan positif dan signifikan. Dalam penelitian ini ditemukan peran nilai-nilai budaya lebih dominan berpengaruh terhadap niat kewirausahaan dibandingkan dengan pendidikan kewirausahaan. Perguruan tinggi diharapkan tidak mengabaikan peran nilai-nilai budaya yang berlaku dimasyarakat dengan mencantumkan nilai-nilai budaya pada kurikulum. Implikasi praktis penelitian adalah untuk meningkatkan niat kewirausahaan mahasiswa pada perguruan tinggi di Bali, nilai-nilai budaya dapat dicantumkan pada mata kuliah kewirausahaan.
Business development and competition will continue to increase from time to time following the development of information technology, so each company must continue to be creative and innovate by continuously improving the quality of its human resources. Human resources are one of the most important assets in a company or organization, as sophisticated and as complete as any other aspect of the organization but without the support of competent human resources, the organization will not operate well. This study aims to examine the effect of competence on employee performance, the effect of competence on organizational commitment, the effect of organizational commitment on employee performance and the role of organizational commitment mediating competence on employee performance. The method of determining the sample in this study uses a census method in which all employees totaling 37 people are sampled at PT. Bali Tangi Spa Production, Denpasar, Bali and data processing using Partial Least Square (PLS) analysis technique version 2.0. The results of the study stated that competence had a positive and significant effect on organizational commitment, competence had a positive and not significant effect on employee performance, organizational commitment had a positive and significant effect on employee performance and company commitment played a partial mediation in mediating competence on employee performance. In general, employees have a very good performance but management is advised to provide training, especially in the use of work equipment and also provide deeper motivation to increase organizational commitment.
Employee motivation is a reflection of the level of energy, commitment, and creativity possessed by employees used to work. This study aims to determine the effect of soft skills and hard skills on employee performance with work motivation as a mediating variable in the Clinical Marthalia Skincare Denpasar. The population in this study were all employees who worked at Marthalia Skincare Clinic in 2019. The sampling method used in this study was the census method, thus, the number of samples in this study was 32 employees of the Marthalia Skincare Clinic in Denpasar. The research data is primary data that are the results of questionnaire data given to employees of the Marthalia Skincare Clinic Denpasar. Testing the hypothesis of this study using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis with the Partial Least Square (PLS) approach. The results showed that: (1) Soft Skill had a positive effect on work motivation. (2) Hard Skill has a positive effect on work motivation. (3) Soft Skill has a positive effect on employee performance. (4) Hard Skill has a positive effect on performance. (5) Work motivation has a positive effect on performance. (6) motivation is a partial mediation between soft skills and performance. (7) work motivation is not a mediation between hard skills and performance. It is recommended to further researchers to examine other mediating variables that affect the relationship between hard skills and employee performance.
The purpose of this study is to find out whether human resources (HR) practices in cooperatives in Bali have adopted Balinese cultural values. How Balinese cultural values are applied to HR practices in cooperatives in Bali has never been studied. The title of this research is Exploration of HR Practices Based on Local Cultural Values in cooperatives in Bali. The number of respondents 79 who are managers of cooperatives in Bali. The analytical technique used is statistical analysis techniques. The results of the study show HR practices in cooperatives in Bali have been implemented based on local Balinese cultural values with high criteria. It can be said that HR practices in cooperatives are in a strong category. The results of the identification of HR practices based on local culture which include (1) Dimensions of performance appraisal, (2) Dimensions of career development, (3) Dimensions of compensation, (4) Dimensions of training and development, (5) Dimensions of the selection process. Implementation of HR practices that are in accordance with Balinese Cultural Values, among others: HR practices contained in the concept of menyamabraya are reflected in the dimensions: performance appraisal, career development, and the selection process. HR practices contained in the concept taksu, namely in the selection and recruitment process, HR practices contained in the concept of jengah: Implemented in selecting and awarding compensation.
