ABSTRAKPerkembangan kognitif merupakan salah satu aspek perkembangan yang perlu untuk diberikan stimulasi sejak anak usia dini. Perkembangan kognitif berhubungan dengan pola berfikir, pemecahan masalah dan imajinasi anak. Perkembangan kognitif anak dapat dikembangkan melalui permainan, karena bermain merupakan hal yang dekat dengan anak dan dunia anak adalah dunia bermain. Permainan tidak semuanya berdampak baik bagi anak, sehingga orang tua dan guru harus mengetahui tujuan dan manfaat dari permainan itu sendiri bagi anak. Dalam kajian teori berikut akan membahas tentang permainan yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan anak terutama untuk mengembangkan aspek kognitif anak usia dini.

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peran permainan Puzzle dalam meningkatkan aspek kognitif. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dengan subyek penelitian sebanyak 19 anak kelompok B TK Dharma Wanita Pungging. Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan membuktikan kemampuan kognitif dari pratindakan ke siklus II meningkat dengan rata-rata 40,18 dan persentase sebesar 52,63%. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan aspek perkembangan kognitif anak meningkat melalui permainan puzzle.
The aims of the research is knowing the children's mathematic skill through role play in Pelita hati Kindergarten Mojokerto. This action research used John Elliot model, which every cycle consists four stage, which is planning implementing, observing, and reflecting. The result of the research indicates improving in the children's mathematic skill in Pelita hati Kindergarten Mojokerto. The improvement occurs because in every meeting, there is remedy in order to make children familiar to role play. The children's mathematic skill through playing character in Pelita hati Kindergarten 82% improvement based on expected criteria.
The research was conducted with the aim of describing the factors that cause learning difficulties in mathematics for fifth grade students of SD Negeri 17 Air Salek. This study uses questionnaires, interviews, and documentation instruments that discuss the factors of learning difficulties experienced by students. Based on the results of the research on the analysis of the difficulty of learning mathematics in building materials in class V of SD Negeri 17 Air Salek, it can be ascertained that, the factor of learning difficulties in mathematics in the material of building spaces in class V of SD Negeri 17 Air Salek consists of 2 factors, the first is internal and external factors. external. learning difficulty factors consisting of internal factors consisting of students' self and external factors consisting of outside students in class V SD Negeri 17 Air Salek were 81% included in the very valid category. There are 8 subjects who are not interested in learning mathematics, 7 subjects are not interested in learning mathematics and 5 subjects are not able to learn mathematics.
