Development of discovery learning based science learning model-oriented character education. This research aimed to determine the validity, practicality and effectiveness of science learning model development based on discovery learning oriented character education of class IV Elementary School in Pallangga Subdistrict of Gowa Regency. This study applied kinds of Research and Development (R & D) related to Borg and Gall model. Data collection used observation, questionnaire, documentation, interview, validity sheet, practicality and effectivity of product. Data were analyzed by using descriptive narrative and inferential statistics. The results of study indicated that: (1) validity and practicality of discovery learning development based science learning model oriented character of class IV Elementary School in Pallangga Subdistrict of Gowa Regency whit a very valid category or very feasible ot used and very practical; and (2) the effectiveness of discovery learning based science learning model oriented students’ character education was effective to used at class IV Elementary School in Pallangga Subdistrict of Gowa Regency.
This study aims to determine the analysis of online learning on students' learning motivation compared to face-to-face learning of fifth grade students at SD Inpres Borong Jambu II Makassar City. data collection instruments in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. The research method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative research method using data collection techniques, namely interview techniques. The author uses interview techniques by collecting information from 1 principal, 1 homeroom teacher for class V, and 3 students from the class he/she teaches. Based on the joint interviews of 1 school principal, 1 homeroom teacher for class V, and 3 of these students, it was found that these students experienced a decrease in their learning motivation during online learning compared to face-to-face learning motivation. The cause of this decrease in student learning motivation is that students receive a lot of comprehensive and direct assistance from parents who accompany students when doing online learning. However, it was also found that the impact of such online assistance would have a negative impact on future student development. The negative impact on student development is that students don't care or seem to underestimate each of their assignments. In addition, students will also depend more on the help of others so that they become less independent individuals. In the end, the condition of students who are less independent will also often make it difficult for parents to direct students to complete each task and responsibility in their school.
Abstract English cannot be separated from vocabulary learning, because it is a very important aspect in language skills in addition to aspects of speaking, listening and writing. In this case, the vocabulary is not only used for communication it can also improve English skills such as writing, speaking and listening skills. Lacking vocabulary is the reason why English is difficult to master. The students have been studying English for long time with the several methods, but they do not have an adequate vocabulary in English. Descriptive qualitative method is used by the researcher as research design. This research is intended to find out the descriptive outcome of the collected data and the interpretation of which as the conclusion to know how the curriculum, syllabus and implementation of teaching. The response of students toward the teaching of vocabulary process was consist of three terms, they are students’ difficulties, students’ perception on teaching learning process, and the advantages which can be taken by following this class. The first was about students’ difficulties, students had the problem in pronouncing and memorizing the vocabulary. The second was about their perception in teaching learning process. Generally the students enjoy this program because the teacher always asks the students to sing a song together. The students really like learning while singing a song. Even though they had some problems in the class; they liked this program because it gave them advantage to prepare themselves to build their vocabulary. By following this program, it increased their knowledge about vocabulary. Key word: Teaching Vocabulary, English Kid’s Song.
