Abstract. The study aimed to describe the profile of problem of solving grade VIII students at MTs Al-Murahmah, based on thinking styles. The results of the research show the profile of mathematics problem solving of; 1) concrete sequential student are: a) understanding mathematics problems, that tended to organize facts, b) conducting problem solving, that tended to work algorithmically in each stage problem solving; 2) abstract sequential students are: a) understanding the problems, which had tendency to process information abstractly, b) planning problem solving, namely the ability to analyze and present fact in form of mathematics symbol, c) conducting problem solving systematically and linear pattern, 3) concrete random student are: a) tended to be consistent in using guessing strategy or trial and error in solving mathematics problem, b) tended to use formulating pattern strategy by building solving pattern according to the way of thinking; 4) abstract random student are: a) tended to use guessing strategy or trial and error in solving mathematics problem, b) tended to show the basic difference in processing information received.
This study compares two hypnoteaching models used to teach students mathematics. Due to the increase in the use of these models, further vigorous studies are needed to verify their effects. This is a quasi-experiment research conducted to compare the use of the hypnoteaching model using three classes of students. The first, second, and third classes of 15, 13, and 15 students were randomly taught with the Erickson Hypnoteaching Model (Erickson-HM), Elman Hypnoteaching Model (Elman-HM), and conventional non-hypnoteaching model (CM), respectively. The results showed that students in the Erickson-HM group outperformed others, while those in the Elman-HM group performed better than their peers in the CM group. In addition, students in both hypnoteaching groups had higher motivation in learning than those in the CM group. Therefore, discussions and suggestions on hypnoteaching of math were proposed.
Pengolahan data menggunakan Anaysis Toolspack dilakukan dalam bentuk pelatihan bagi guru-guru di Kab. Barru bekerjasama dengan UPT SMA Negeri 1 Barru Kabupaten Takalar. Pelatihan bertempat di SMA Negeri 1 Barru Kabupaten Barru dan dilaksanakan secara daring dengan menggunakan Zoom. Tujuan dari pelatihan ini adalah agar guru terampil dalam menggunakan paket statistik yang dimiliki Excel untuk mengolah data dan mengolah data menjadi satu informasi. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata kemampuan guru dalam menggunakan statistika pada paket excel analysis tools pack dalam mengolah dan mengolah data setelah pelatihan lebih baik (meningkatkan) daripada sebelum pelatihan.
