Fake News creates erroneous suspense information that can be identified. This spreads dishonesty about a country's status or overstates the expense of special functions for a government, destroying democracy in certain countries, such as in the Arab Spring. Associations such as the ''House of Commons and the Crosscheck project'' address concerns such as publisher responsibility. However, since they rely entirely on manual detection by humans, their coverage is minimal. This is neither sustainable nor possible in a world where billions of items are withdrawn or posted every second. The paper produces a deep study on past research work on fake news detection on the selected data-sets and proposes an algorithm with Multi-layered Principal Component Analysis for feature selection followed by firefly-optimized algorithm. Multi-Support Vector Machines(MSVM) are finally used to classify the news. We used ten different data-sets for testing the proposed algorithm. As the number of features in the data-sets are more, feature extration and selection methods help to improve the accuracy in respective data-sets. Only the datasets having less number of features gave a lower performance on our feature extraction algorithms. INDEX TERMSFake news, rirefly, long short-term memory (LSTM), multi support vector machine (MSVM).
The scope of our project is to control a music player using human gestures. This employs a camera along with an embedded system to segment human gestures and convert them to control signals in real-time. With the help of the Music Controller, one can simply wave or do a simple gesture of hand movement in front of the webcam which will in turn switch or pause the particular music track that was being played. Our project mainly focuses on scenarios where we are multitasking that is working on many applications at a time or running various programs at a time on our desktop and along with that listening to music in background that is music being played in one of the windows. At such times if we wish to pause or switch a particular music track we have to make some movements like switching to the music window and doing the desired operation. With the help of Music Controller, one can simply wave or do a simple gesture of hand movement in front of the webcam which will in turn switch or pause the particular music track that was being played.
A frozen bag of genetically engineered blood or a bag of cells can change the life of persons forever; this is the new era of precision gene medicine. Many debilitating diseases can be completely cured with some financial toxicity, but in front of a lifetime suffering this financial toxicity is bearable and manageable. Sickle cells disease (SCD), a blood disorder which damages multiple organs and excruciating pains leads to multiple morbidities. SCD occurs because of the defect in HBB gene, single mutation in this gene leads to formation of haemoglobin S, which leads to sickling, sticky and crescent-shaped red blood cells in slight hypoxic conditions. Leading to strokes, heart attacks and other critical organs damages in multiple ways in multiple times over period of time. This increases morbidity and early mortality. As this is disease is recessively heritable from parents and high degrees of penetrance in off springs. This disease thought to have originated in Africa and have protective effects against endemic malaria.
Introduction:The present management line of osteoarthritis of knee is mostly symptomatic, therefore the need to investigate treatment modality which addresses the disease process in itself. This study was undertaken with an aim to evaluate the efficacy of platelet rich plasma in primary osteoarthritis of knee. Materials and Methods: This prospective study was done on 67 knees in 60 patients of early primary osteoarthritis of the knee. Three injections of platelet rich plasma were given at four weeks interval and the outcome was evaluated using WOMAC and VAS score at pre injection, 3 weeks, 12 weeks and 24 weeks. Ahlback's grading was done at pre-injection and at 6 months. Results: Most of the cases in our series were in the age group of 51-60 years with female predominance (66.7%), 46 cases had grade 2 disease and the remaining had grade 1 involvement. Improvement in WOMAC score parameters started at 3 weeks with progressive improvement at subsequent follow-ups. WOMAC score parameters (pain, stiffness, physical function and total score) at pre injection were 14.31, 5.01, 36.52 and 55.75 and at 6 months follow up were 6.54, 2.03, 19.07 and 27.66 respectively. Similar improvement was seen in VAS score with pre injection score of 6.45 and final score of 3.76. The average WOMAC score was less for grade 1 as compared to grade 2 (45.52 and 60.41). Improvement was seen in 89.55% of cases though the level varied from good to mild improvement. There was no complication related to the treatment in our series. Conclusion:The initial results conclude that PRP is an effective treatment modality in early grades of primary Osteoarthritis of knee. However, further high evidence studies are required to look for the long-term effects and to confirm the findings of this study.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
