In sample 3, a higher pH and lower alcohol concentration is used. At this condition, the K¿ values are 13 and 25, re-spectively. The K¿ values and corresponding retention times can be reduced while still obtaining the separation by lowering the pH and increasing the alcohol concentration (see Sample 4).
