Entrepreneurship is one of the human capital variables of pepper farmers that plays an important role in determining the success of pepper agribusiness development in this creative era. To face the challenges of the business climate change, pepper farmers need entrepreneurship. The objectives compiled in this study are to identify the entrepreneurial characteristics of Muntok White Pepper farmers and to analyze the effect of entrepreneurial characteristics on their entrepreneurial behavior in managing to farm. The study was conducted by survey method, involving 115 farmers. Data analysis used Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with Partial Least Squares (PLS). The results showed that the entrepreneurial characteristics of pepper farmers are risk-taking, responsive to opportunities, innovative, and motivated. Also, the results showed that the entrepreneurial characteristics of pepper farmers positively and significantly influence their entrepreneurial behavior. Furthermore, the most dominant variable reflecting their entrepreneurial characteristics is the courage to take risks. This study recommends muntok pepper farmers that they always dare to take risks, be persistent and disciplined. Additionally, knowledge and skills need to be constantly updated to grow the ability to innovate and be creative in carrying pepper cultivation activities out.
Dalam pengembangan suatu usaha perlu dilakukan suatu model bisnis yang dikenal dengan Business Model Canvas. Dalam model bisnis ini perusahaan bercerita tentang kondisi internal maupun eksternal perusahaan. Adapun bisnis model canvas perusahaan menampilkan model blok/elemen bisnis yang terdiri dari sembilan elemen. Pendekatan ini digunakan untuk menerapkan implementasi Business Model Canvas di UKM“Raja Abon Makmur Lestari” Kota Pangkalpinang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi model bisnis produk abon menggunakan analisis Business Model Canvas. Data didapatkan dalam penelitian ini hasil wawancara dengan kuesioner terhadap pemilik, dua orang karyawan serta konsumen abon sebanyak 30 orang di kota Pangkalpinang serta hasil studi literatur pendukung. Hasil yang didapatkan dari penelitian ini adalah setiap elemen yang diidentifikasi telah dipertajam dengan menggunakan analisis SWOT. Dari analisis tersebut diketahui bahwa diperlukan perbaikan pada hampir semua elemen model bisnis dalam usaha raja abon makmur lestari. Perbaikan model bisnis raja abon makmur lestari terfokus kepada perbaikan kegiatan pemasaran. Terutama melalui media online guna meningkatkan pendapatan. Business model canvas is known as an approach in business development and used as a business model. It describes about a condition of internal and external of organization. It also shows the business element which consists of nine elements. The approach is applied on the business model canvas in a small medium enterprise which is called as “Raja Abon Makmur Lestari” in Pangkalpinang City. The study aims to evaluate the business model of the product using business model canvas analysis. The data was collected through the interview using questionnaire towards the owner, two staffs and 30 customers in Pangkalpinang City and other related articles or documents. The study revealed that every identified element has been emphasized using SWOT analysis. It stated that it required the improvement on every single element of business model in Raja Abon Makmur Lestari. The improvement of business model of Raja Abon Makmur Lestari prioritized on the improvement of marketing activity especially throuh the online media in order to increase the income.
This study was conducted based on not achieving the revenue target for the "Raja Abon Makmur Lestari" UKM in Pangkalpinang City. The purpose of this study was to analyze the position of SMEs in the IE matrix and formulate a marketing strategy for UKM "Raja Abon Makmur Lestari" in Pangkalpinang City. The research method used is case study. The number of samples used in this study were 55 samples, 5 samples from internal UKM "Raja Abon Makmur Lestari" and 50 samples from external UKM "Raja Abon Makmur Lestari". Methods of data collection using questionnaires and data analysis methods using IE analysis and SWOT analysis. The results showed that the position of "Raja Abon Makmur Lestari" UKM was in quadrant V. In this position SMEs could be managed with a strategy of maintaining and maintaining (hold and maintain), namely market penetration and development of abon telur products. The strategy formulation that must be carried out by UKM "Raja Abon Makmur Lestari" in Pangkalpinang City is to improve good and quality service to consumers, Maintain existing business places, Develop product delivery by having special vehicles, Maximize promotional activities by expanding market networks, Adjust product prices in accordance with the increase in raw materials, Increase innovation-new product innovations both in terms of taste, shape, Adjust product prices with the ability of consumers, and Have permanent outlets in developing the business.
Bycatch small pelagic fish during the fishing season can be oversupplied so that its price goes down. The study aims to analyze the proximate of local fish powder from the by-catch and probiotics of Probio_FM in the fish feed in Bangka Belitung. The method was the data compared with the Indonesian National Standard, SNI 01-2715-1996/Rev: 92 about the raw material of animal feed as fish powder and fish feed with six different treatments. The study found that the bycatch or trash from small pelagic fish could be used as a fish powder or fish feed. The proximate analysis on fish powder and fish feed with probiotics Probio_FM included as the quality of SNI. Crude protein values from 25.75% until 66.96% that was above SNI standard I (1.5%), II (2.5%), and III (3.0%) could be followed up into an economical business. Fermented activity from Probio_FM could degrade the protein and other components proximate such as ash content, crude protein, crude fat, crude fiber, calcium, Phosphor, and NaCl. The amino acids from protein were getting simpler and easier being absorbed by fish in culture or livestock farms. Probio_FM was assumed to degrade the protein value and other components proximate due to the utilization of nitrogen and ammonia derived from the process fish protein hydrolyzation of probiotic bacteria. The production of local feed should be implemented to reach feed security and very important to be developed into a community business. Proximate analysis of bycatch could support sustainable good aquaculture practices in the future.
Nowadays, the use of information technology becomes a new business model in which consumers are more open to demand their needs and take over the decision of the ideal product. However, farmers as the producers of agriculture commodities seem to be reluctant to using information technology in selling their products. The study aims to examine the effect of the perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use of information technology towards the attitude of using information technology in pepper farmers’ marketing practices through the technology acceptance model. The study used face-to-face data collection and a structured questionnaire to obtain the primary data from 100 pepper farmers in Bangka Tengah and Bangka Selatan. The finding of the study shows that perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use affect significantly the attitude of using information technology among the pepper farmers in marketing practices. The results will be useful for the government and NGO to provide tools on how to disseminate the technology to potential users.
