The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of sports energy gel drink from chia seeds (Salvia hispanica L.) on the VO 2 max capacity of football and futsal players in Semarang. This is a quasiexperimental research using a crossover design on twenty-two ( 22) football and futsal players residing in Semarang, Indonesia. The duration of the study was five weeks, whereby 22 subjects in the control group were given 300 ml of mineral water added with butterfly pea extract as natural colorant, while another 22 subjects in the treatment group were given 300 ml of sports gel drink from chia seed 30 minutes before starting the exercise, twice a week. Data on weight, height, body fat percentage, energy and nutrient intake, and VO 2 max capacity were collected. The results showed that there was a significant increase in the player's VO 2 max capacity value after treatment with sports gel treatment (p=0.001), but there was no significant increase in the control group (p=0.314). Nutritional status, body fat percentages, physical activity, energy intakes, macro and micronutrients intake were found not to be correlated with VO 2 max capacity. It can be concluded that administration of 300 ml sports gel drink from chia seeds before training increases the player's VO 2 max capacity.
This study aims to find the concept of Indonesian Islamic moderation from the perspective of maqashid shariah and tries to present forms of Islamic moderation that follow the Qur'an and al-hadith (maqashid shariah). By conducting qualitative research with a descriptive approach through library research methods that focus on observing (examining) previous research studies and analyzing the mils and Huberman models related to conformity with maqashid sharia. This study resulted in the primary forms of Indonesian Islamic moderation, namely: the state of Indonesia, neither a radical religion nor a liberal religion. It is conceptualized in five aspects belonging to the wasathiyah concept, namely: Maintaining Religion (Hifdzu al-din), Nurturing the Soul (hifdzu al-nafs), Maintaining Intellect (hifdz al-aqli), Caring for offspring (hifdz al-nasl). ), Maintaining property (hifdz al-mal). So, the presence of maqashid sharia as a spirit with these five principles in maintaining the integrity of Religion and the State ensures that love for Religion and the State can save humanity and maintain the dignity of Islam itself.

Introduction: Increased consumption of sugar-sweetened beverages (SSBs) is strongly associated with weight gain, dental cavities, and a higher risk of chronic diseases among adolescents. However, there is no available FFQ for the Malaysian population individually to evaluate and assess the consumption of SSBs and high-energy dense (HED) foods among adolescents. Method: A 24-hour diet recall with 30 adolescents were performed via Google Meet to identify the most common and frequent types of SSBs and HEDs foods consumed nowadays. The food checklist of SSBs and HED foods from literature review search was also provided to the participants. Experts critically reviewed each food item and provide a score for its relevancy and essentiality. Face validity were conducted among 10 adolescents to validate the developed FFQ. Results: The final FFQ consisted of 63 food items with ten categories. This FFQ showed high content validity for individual items with I-CVI ranging from 0.67 to 1.00 and overall questionnaires with S-CVI/Ave valued at 0.97. The calculation of Kappa statistic showed that this newly developed FFQ has excellent inter-rater reliability at the item level with K > 0.74 for 55 items and K = 0.57 only for 4 items. Most of the items were marked as relevant with a CVR score of 1.00. Conclusion: The findings of this study imply that the newly developed FFQ could be utilised to estimate the intake of SSB and HED foods of Malaysian adolescents.
