Biodiversitas 21: 4990-4998. Traditional ceremonies as part of human cultural products at a practical level cannot be separated from the use of natural resources, mainly plants. Concerning the use of plants in traditional ceremonies, the knowledge and use of plants by the community are decreasing. This study aims to document the ritual plants used by the Aceh tribe in the East Aceh district of Indonesia. The study was conducted in Peureulak sub-districts, East Aceh district, Indonesia. A field survey was involved 125 respondents were selected using random sampling. The interview used a questionnaire including plant species, vernacular names, uses, parts use, and ritual tradition. A total of 51 ritual plant species consisting of 47 genera and 34 families was used as ritual ceremonies in the study area. Ninety-two percent were cultivated and 8% were found to be growing wild. Most of the plants used for wedding ceremonies (18 species), followed by birth ceremonies (8 species), funeral ceremonies (5 species), and pregnancy ceremony (3 species). Socio-cultural aspects can be considered as being used for the conservation of ritual plants in the East Aceh region.
Abstract. Navia ZI, Audira D, Afifah N, Turnip K, Nuarini, Suwardi AB. 2020. Ethnobotanical investigation of spice and condiment plants used by the Taming tribe in Aceh, Indonesia. Biodiversitas 21: 4467-4473. Communities are inseparable from plants in meeting their daily food needs, especially plants as supplementary food. The aim of this study was to investigate of ethnobotany and economic value of spice and condiment plants used by Tamiang tribe in Aceh, Indonesia. A field survey was conducted in three sub-districts, namely Rantau, Seruwai, and Bendahara, Aceh Tamiang District involved 150 respondents (50 individuals from each sub-district) were randomly selected. A total of 31 spices and condiments plants consisting of 26 genera and 18 families was recorded in the study area. Fruits (36%) are the most commonly used parts of plants for spices and condiments, followed by leaves (16%), seeds (13%), rhizome and flower (10% respectively), bulb (6%), and stem and bark (3% respectively). These species were used for preserving traditional cuisines such as bubur pedas, ikan cang rebong, and anyang. Capsicum annuum L has high economic value. The Tamiang tribe has always preserved traditional knowledge of the use of various spices and condiment plants for traditional cuisine.
Penelitian tentang bobot potong, karkas, giblet dan lemak abdominal ayam broiler yang diberi temulawak (Curcuma xanthorrhiza Roxb) dalam pakan menggunakan 80 ekor ayam broiler yang dipelihara selama 5 (lima) minggu menggunakan strain CP 707 dengan pakan komersial BP-11 dan temulawak. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan: P0 (BP-11 tanpa temulawak), P1 (BP-11 + temulawak 1%), P2 (BP-11 + temulawak 2%), P3 (BP-11 + temulawak 3%) dengan 4 ulangan. Variabel yang diteliti adalah bobot potong, persentase karkas, giblet dan lemak abdominal ayam broiler. Hasil penelitian menumjukkan bahwa pemberian tepung temulawak dalam pakan memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap bobot potong dan persentase lemak abdominal, namun tidak menunjukkan pengaruh nyata terhadap persentase karkas dan persentase giblet. Ayam Merawang merupakan salah satu dari ayam lokal yang berasal dari spesies Gallus-gallus, family Phasianidae. Ayam Merawang merupakan ayam lokal yang berasal dari Desa Merawang Kecamatan Merawang Kabupaten Bangka Propinsi Kepulauan Bangka Belitung dan merupakan sumber genetik serta aset masyarakat Propinsi Kepulauan Bangka. Ayam Merawang sangat potensial untuk dikembangkan sebagai ayam dwiguna penghasil telur dan daging. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di KP Petaling BPTP Kepulauan Bangka Belitung pada bulan Januari 2017. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui performa ayam Merawang keturunan pertama dan kedua baik jantan maupun betina meliputi bobot badan akhir, bobot karkas serta persentase karkas. Materi yang digunakan adalah ayam Merawang sejumlah 24 ekor yang masing-masing 12 ekor untuk keturunan pertama (F1) dan keturunan kedua (F2) serta dibedakan berdasarkan jenis kelamin. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok Lengkap (RAKL) terdiri dari 2 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan dan satu unit pengamatan sebanyak 2 ekor. Data dianalisis statistika dengan ANOVA dan uji Duncan dengan selang kepercayaan 95%. Peubah yang diamati pada penelitian ini meliputi bobot badan akhir, bobot karkas serta persentase karkas. Hasil analisis ragam menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan performa antara ayam Merawang keturunan pertama (F1) dan keturunan kedua (F2). Perbedaan jenis kelamin memberikan pengaruh nyata (P≤0,05) terhadap bobot badan akhir, bobot karkas serta persentase karkas pada ayam Merawang.
ABSTRAKAktivitas belajar merupakan keaktifan siswa dalam proses belajar dan pembelajaran untuk mencapai hasil belajar dan tujuan yang telah ditentukan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan tingkat aktivitas belajar siswa, hasil belajar, dan hubungan antara keduanya. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling yaitu kelas XB sebanyak 36 siswa sebagai sampel. Data aktivitas belajar siswa dianalisis dengan menggunakan lembar observasi. Hasil observasi menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata aktivitas belajar siswa sebesar 51,76% dengan kategori cukup aktif. Hasil analisis ulangan umum semester genap tahun ajaran 2016/2017 menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata siswa sebesar 40,42 dengan kategori kurang baik. Hubungan antara aktivitas belajar siswa dan hasil belajar siswa dianalisis menggunakan rumus korelasi product moment. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa terdapat korelasi positif antara aktivitas belajar siswa dan hasil belajar pada mata pelajaran kimia kelas X SMA Negeri 5 Pontianak dengan koefisien korelasi (r) sebesar 0,67 yang berada pada kategori kuat. Kontribusi aktivitas belajar siswa dan hasil belajar diperoleh koefisien determinasi (r 2 ) sebesar 0,451. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh dan hubungan yang positif dengan kategori kuat antara aktivitas belajar siswa dan hasil belajar pada mata pelajaran kimia kelas X SMA Negeri 5 Pontianak. ABSTRACTLearning activity was a student's activeness in learning process to achieve outcome and aim of learning which had been determined. This research aimed to describe the degree of student's learning activity, its outcome and the correlation between them. Collecting data used purposive sampling technique which used 36 students of class XB as a sample. The data of student's learning activity was analyzed by using observation checklist. The observation result showed that the mean of student's learning activity was 51,76 % with the category of active enough. The result of second term examination 2016/2017 showed that the mean of student's score was 40,42 as less good category. The correlation between students' learning activity and its outcome was analyzed by the correlation of product moment formula. The result of analyzing data showed that there was positive correlation between students' learning activity and outcome in chemistry X class at SMA Negeri 5 Pontianak with correlation coefficient 0,67 as high category. The contribution of students' learning activity and outcome was obtained coefficient of determination (r 2 ) equal to 0,451. Thus, it could be concluded that there was a influence and positive relationship with the strong category between student learning activities and learning outcomes in chemistry class X at SMA Negeri 5 Pontianak.
