This study aims to develop e-book learning media as a teaching material patterns create in Fashion Education Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, State University of Medan, as a good learning resource and can function properly with effective results and can be used as a learning media. The research design used in this study is R&D. This research is used to develop or validate products that be used in education and learning. The research and development methods are research methods that be used to produce certain products, and to test the effectiveness of the products. The development of educational products in this research is e-book media development. This model has several stages: potential and problems, data collection, product design, product validation, trial use, product revision, product trial, design revision, product revision, mass production. The test subjects consisted of material experts, media experts, and students. The data about the quality of these development products was collected by a questionnaire. Every data that be collected were analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis techniques.
This research aims to: 1) to developer teaching materials based on digital module in pattern construction course, and 2) to find out the effectiveness of teaching material based on digital module in pattern construction course in fashion education section. The type of the research used in this study is Research and Development (R&D). It uses the stages or procedures that have been adapted, which include: a) needs analysis; b) developing products; c) Validation and revision; d) Small group trials of 5 students; e) Medium group trials of 15 students, and f) large group trials; g) The final product. The subjects in this research trial are 30 fashion education students class of 2017. The expert validation consists of 2 media experts and 2 material experts, and learning design experts. Data collection tools are using in this research is questionnaires to trace the needs of lecturers and students. Validators and questionnaires for effectiveness include a rating scale with data analysis techniques using a Likert scale. Digital module developed with the Edmodo application network.The result of the research from media expert get a percentage of 87.33% with very good criteria and validation of the subject matter expert with a percentage of assessment results of 90.67% with very good criteria. 2) The results of a small group trial with a percentage of 76%, with good criteria being medium with a medium group trial with a 78% percentage assessment with criteria and a large group trial with a percentage of 90%, with very good criteria. 3) Testing the effectiveness of students with a percentage of 90% with very good criteria. Trial of effectiveness by lecturers with assessment percentage 92% get very good criteria. So, the development of teaching materials based on digital module in the construction course of Fashion Education Students in 2017 is considered effective and feasible to be used as learning media.
Abstrak : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui mutu hasil jahitan pantalon dengan teknik konstruksi pola langsung di atas kain pada wanita bertubuh gemuk pendek di Tanjung Tailor Medan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Februari 2014. Lokasi penelitian di Tanjung Tailor Medan bertempat di Jalan Kalianda No 31 depan Thamrin Plaza. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif yang bertujuan untuk mendapatkan informasi yang akurat tentang karakter subjek, hal subjek, atau menggambarkan situasi atau frekwensi kejadian sesuatu. Penelitian ini terdiri dari satu variabel. Populasi penelitian ini adalah wanita bertubuh gemuk pendek dengan ukuran lingkar dada 108 cm – 112 cm, lingkar pinggang 96 cm – 100 cm, dan lingkar panggul 112 cm – 116 cm. Subjek penelitian ini wanita dengan ukuran lingkar dada 108 cm – 112 cm, lingkar pinggang 96 cm – 100 cm, dan lingkar panggul 112 cm – 116 cm dan tinggi tubuh dibawah rata-rata yaitu 150 – 160 cm. Objek penelitian adalah 10 hasil jahitan pantalon dengan teknik konstruksi pola di atas kain pada wanita bertubuh gemuk pendek di Tanjung Tailor Medan. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar observasi/pengamatan sebanyak lima orang pengamat yang terdiri dari 3 dosen PKK Tata Busana dan 2 orang ahli dibidang pantalon. Untuk menjaring kesepakatan hasil pengamatan dari setiap pengamat digunakan uji kesepakatan dengan menggunakan Analisis Varians Satu Jalur.Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan penilaian pengamatan ditemukan bahwa tidak ada perbedaan yang berarti antara hasil pengamatan dari kelima orang observer (pengamat) atau dapat diartikan bahwa butir-butir komponen hasil jahitan pantalon dengan teknik konstruksi pola di atas kain pada wanita bertubuh gemuk pendek dimana F0 < Ftabel (1,43 < 5,19). Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan rumus persentase. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 70% hasil jahitan pantalon dengan teknik konstruksi pola di atas kain pada wanita bertubuh gemuk pendek di tanjung tailor medan baik dengan nilai tertinggi 96,65 dan nilai terendah 79,28. Nilai rata-rata (Mean) sebesar 84,37 dan standar deviasi 5,409. Untuk setiap indikator, indikator yang memiliki presentase tertinggi adalah pada kebersihan hasil pantalon dengan persentase 86 % dan indikator terendah adalah pada penampilan pantalon pada bagian panggul dengan presentase 26 %. Hasil nilai rata-rata penilaian pengamat perindikator bahwa indikator yang tertinggi terdapat pada indikator kerapian hasil pantalon dengan skor rata-rata 3,9 sedangkan nilai indikator terendah terdapat pada indikator penampilan pantalon pada bagian panggul dengan skor rata-rata 2,9.Kata kunci : Hasil jahitan pantalon, teknik konstruksi pola di atas kain, wanita bertubuh gemuk pendek.
