The purpose of this study is to explore the key elements of digital transformation in information management. The qualitative approach was conducted, where the main facts about a particular topic in digital transformation in information management were collected based on the research of existing information. One of the significant findings is a strong plan for information governance leads to better digital transformation outcomes in information management. This paper offers analysis on the road towards digital transformation, digitizing data and processes isn't enough in information management. The paper's findings and discovery are significant in highlighting the key elements of digital transformation to enable change in information management. The findings of this paper contribute towards the digital transformation offers tremendous strategy in information management. The well manages and use of information towards digital transformation can be beneficial to the organization by increasing the productivity of the organization. Digital transformation will change the pattern of the organization towards managing their information because they will see the important roles of information in the organization.
The purpose of the article is to assess the current challenges in the implementation of the Digital Culture Environment among the rural community in Malaysia. The Covid-19 pandemic has changed the online environment where a drastic usage of digital tools has been observed among Malaysian. The digital culture is defined as the culture shaped by the emergence of digital technologies and their usage in the community. The literature survey approach has been applied as the methodology of study to explore the current challenges in the implementation of the Digital Culture Environment among the rural community in Malaysia. Several challenges have been identified, including the rural sustainable issues, digital divides, demographic factors, Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) factor, individual, as well as behavior factor. According to the literature review conducted, these challenges have been revealed to significantly hurdle the government’s movement in implementing the digital culture within the rural community. To overcome these challenges, a strong and effective supporting model should be formulated to assist the government in building and establish a digital culture environment in Malaysia, particularly among the rural community. Hence, a further in-depth study is required to acquire comprehensive literature information to address this issue.
In the era of born-digital, most of us nowadays always looking for the fastest way in the information-seeking process. The society has widely used the usage of internet as the information-seeking tools. However, the credibility of information vague without unknown information on the sources of that information. This paper will discuss how the knowledge society deals with the rapid changes in information and the informationseeking process. This paper also discusses the importance of being information literate and the importance of Media and Information Literacy skills to be adapted in the society as well as the discussion regarding the role of the information professional as a gatekeeper to the knowledge society and the importance of digital libraries in providing the right information for the society. Library and information professional is a key player to deliver the right and trusted information to the society and society can contribute towards developing the information society within their community. Contribution/ Originality: This study contributes to the existing literature on how the ways society views online information in a different dimension. It is important to evaluate and judge the quality of information content and the criteria of online information on the web.
