This paper describes the level of statistical reasoning and the difficulties and errors that occur in statistical problem-solving in prospective mathematics teacher students at STKIP PGRI Jombang. This research is a qualitative study with a case study strategy, the case study in the process of solving statistical problems carried out by the subject. The research subjects were the 69 students at third-semester of Mathematics Education Program STKIP PGRI Jombang who had taken descriptive statistics. The results of this study indicate that students are not found at the idiosyncratic level, most of them are at the transitional and quantitative level, while the analytical level is still a minority
The purpose of learning mathematics emphasizes the ability of students to think. This article describes the thinking process of class IX junior high school students in solving mathematical problems, especially the material of spatial structure. Researchers describe 2 types of thinking processes, namely numerical thinking and realistic thinking. The researcher uses a qualitative approach in describing the subject's thought process. The main instrument of this research is the researcher himself, while there are 3 (three) kinds of auxiliary instruments, namely: math problems, interview guidelines and video recording. The stages of data analysis carried out in this study were: transcribing data; reduce data; encode data; checking data validity or data triangulation; reviewing data; interpret findings; validate findings; draw conclusions. The results showed that the thinking process of the subject of numeric thinking is to assemble numbers that are according to calculations. While the thinking process, the subject of realistic thinking assembles numbers that are in accordance with calculations and the real form of a shape.
Kemampuan berpikir kritis sangat diperlukan dalam suatu pembelajaran. Berpikir kritis adalah berpikir logis dan reflektif yang difokuskan pada pengambilan keputusan yang akan dilakukan, berpikir kritis merupakan bagian yang tidak bisa dipisahkan dari pendidikan dan berpikir kritis merupakan kemampuan kognitif yang sangat penting. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif terhadap hasil belajar siswa dengan mengontrol kemampuan berpikiri kritis siswa di SMK Darul Ulum Kepuhdoko. Karakteristik berpikir kritis adalah orang yang berpikir kritis idealnya memiliki beberapa kriteria atau elemen dasar yang disingkat FRISCO (Focus, Reason, Inference, Situation, Clarity and Overview).
Jenis penelitian ini penelitian kuantitatif, dengan metode penelitian eksperimen. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah kelas X SMK Darul Ulum Kepuhdoko dengan sampel kelas X MM sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas X KI sebagai kelas kontrol. Kelompok eksperimen diberi perlakuan dengan menggunakan model kooperatif sedangkan kelompok control menggunakan model konvensional. Sedangkan instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar tes. Sebelum digunakan, instrumen ini diuji reliabilitas dan validitasnya. Teknik analisis data menggunakan anakova.
Berdasarkan pengolahan data dan hasil analisis diperoleh output SPSS.25 yaitu nilai Sig 0,440. Hal ini berarti bahwa nilai sig (0,440) > α = (0,05) maka H0 diterima, sehingga dikatakan setelah dikontrol kemampuan berpikir kritis, tidak ada perbedaan hasil belajar siswa antara yang mengikuti pembelajaran kooperatif dengan yang mengikuti pembelajaran konvensional.
