Poverty on the country became a classic phenomenon that has not been resolved properly. The poverty of woman in the country veranda district Jagoibabang Bengkayang. Plantation in women and the double burden of women, the issue of trafficking in women and the exploitation of women can not be separated from women’s lives on the porch country. this research uses qualitative method, using indepth interview and data collecting technique to some splint artisans in Jagoi Village. This research describes the socio-economics dynamic of artisans in Jagoi Babang spilnt as mean to preserve the local culture that exists. There are two interesting things from this splint handicraft. First, this craft is does by ethnic Dayak and Malay. Second, most of these artisans are women. That is, solints have the opportunity as a medium of bonding relations between etnics group and at the same time as an effort to strengthen the capacity of women to preserve local wisdom and improve their family welfare. Interestingly, more dayak and Malay woman are move from spar production sector than men who are more involved in the trade sector of splint at regional, national to foreign levels. Third, this study also to explain the prepared, provlems and challenges of women handicraftsmen in facing the MEA. Therefore, this research is a descriptive framework to contribute the policy of business incubator program for female artisans toget gender equity to be strived in improving family welfare marked by increasing knowledge and awareness of the importance of business incubator in face of MEA.
The research is related to the problem of Social Conflict between the Community and Palm Oil Company in Batu Ampar Sub-district, Kubu Raya Regency. The problem is why social tension occurs between the oil palm plantation company and the local community in Batu Ampar Sub-district. The theory used by Marx aims to describe the social conflict between the community and the owner of palm oil plantation company. The method used is descriptive research that aims to explain intensively about the research in question. It includes the background of the current situation, and the environmental interaction of a social unit: individuals, groups, institutions, or communities. The conclusion from the findings of this research about social conflict between PT. Fajar Saudara Lestari Oil Palm Plantation and the community of Batu Ampar Villages, Batu AMpar Sub-District, Kubu Raya Regency is expected to provide input to various parties. Social conflict between PT. Fajar Saudara Lestari Oil Palm Plantation and the community is due to changes in the socio-economic structure of the community from the capacity system through patterns for business. As a result of the entry o the oil palm plantation, there is a grouping of people over the structure of resources, including: groups that have the power of economic resources and groups that have social resources. The phenomenon of the development of the local leadership system in the Dayak Salako community in Nyarumkop village, Singkawang, West Kalimantan, cannot be separated from the current era development; of which the existing leadership system in the community requires dynamic aspects to make the traditional leadership system able to adjust its functions and role in the society that continues to develop. This article will analyze and explain how local leadership forms when community groups Dayak Salako still live as a Bantang community until now, which has become a village community that already has its formal and bureaucratic government leadership. Through a qualitative method with an ethnographic approach, key informants from the customary chief and other stakeholders within the community, it turns out that the leadership of the Dayak Salako customary chief has undergone several changes following the form of life of the community. Even though the global modern development impacts the community's way of life, the importance and influence of customary chief are pertinent. Fenomena perkembangan sistem kepemimpinan lokal pada masyarakat Dayak Salako di Desa Nyarumkop, Singkawang, Kalimantan Barat, tidak lepas dari perkembangan zaman saat ini; dimana sistem kepemimpinan yang ada di masyarakat membutuhkan aspek dinamis agar sistem kepemimpinan tradisional mampu menyesuaikan fungsi dan perannya dalam masyarakat yang terus berkembang. Artikel ini akan menganalisis dan menjelaskan bagaimana kepemimpinan lokal terbentuk ketika kelompok masyarakat Dayak Salako masih hidup sebagai masyarakat Bentang sampai sekarang, yang telah menjadi masyarakat desa yang telah memiliki kepemimpinan pemerintahan formal dan birokrasi. Melalui metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan etnografi, informan kunci dari kepala adat dan pemangku kepentingan lainnya dalam masyarakat, ternyata kepemimpinan kepala adat Dayak Salako telah mengalami beberapa kali perubahan mengikuti bentuk kehidupan masyarakat. Meskipun perkembangan modern global berdampak pada cara hidup masyarakat, peran penting dan pengaruh kepala adat tetap relevan.
This research is intended to reveal the survival strategy of communities affected by the social distancing policy in border areas, especially Sambas Regency. The study was conducted using qualitative method, and field data collection with interviews and field observations (observations). The goal was to be able to explain the object of research intensively and precisely, namely the survival strategy taken by people on Sambas region border in facing pandemic, especially with their local culture. The subjects of research were Sambas people, especially workers, both local and migrant workers, as well as several related stakeholders. The results of study indicate that the survival strategy taken is a subsistence approach, generally manifested into: (1) subsistence bonds, in the form of forming and maintaining communal cohesiveness and kinship, (2) subsistence ethics, which is strengthening helpful behavior or solidarity, and (3) subsistence production in the form of productivity in the consumptive sector, the result of which is for their own use.
