One of the evaluation standards given by the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) is mathematical disposition. Disposition refers not simply to attitudes but to a tendency to think and to act in positive ways. Creative thinking disposition is the tendency to thinking and acting creatively in mathematics. The aims of this research is to determine the effect of mathematical habits of mind learning based on problems toward the students' mathematical creative thinking disposition. This research was conducted at one of SMPN (Junior High School) Padang Ratu, Indonesia. The method used in this research is quasi experiment with posttest only control group research design. The population of this research is 214 students. The sample of this study is 70 students at grade VII which consists of 36 students in experimental group and 34 students in control group. The experimental group was taught by mathematical habists of mind learning strategy based on problem and the control group was taught by conventional learning strategy (teacher centered). The sampling technique used is cluster random sampling. The instrument used to collect data in this research is questionaire checklist to determine students' mathematical creative thinking disposition. Data analysis used in this research is t-test. The results showed that students' mathematical creative thinking disposition which is taught by mathematical habits of mind learning strategy based on problem are better than the students which taught by conventional learning strategy. In future research, we recommend to use the mathematical habits of mind learning strategy based on problem in learning process to increase student's creative thinking disposition.
There are several ways to describe data mathematically. Likewise with the computing tool. As a computational aid, Mathematica® is designed to make it easier for users to carry out the calculation process symbolically or numerically. This article will discuss the use of Mathematica® to describe banking data through quantitative methods. A case study that discussed in this article is the results of the analysis of the influence of Non-Performing Financing (NPF) against the financial performance of PT. Bank Syariah Mandiri (BSM) through indicators of Return on Asset (ROA). Research conducted using a quantitative approach to the data of the financial statements of PT BSM. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling criteria the Public Sharia Banks publish annual financial statements in the period 2009-2018 with > 75 trillion rupiahs in assets. Based on quantitative method using Mathematica® programming, the research data has a normal distribution and no deviation from the rules of classical assumptions. In addition, the diversity of the data being used can explain the regression models constructed by the NPF variable towards the ROA variable, and the hypothesis testing results show that the variables of NPF have a significant, negative effect on ROA.
Operator sekolah merupakan petugas yang ditunjuk sekolah untuk melakukan input data pokok Pendidikan (Dapodik). Operator Sekolah memegang peranan yang penting dalam melakukan pendataan dan sekaligus pengguna dari aplikasi Dapodik tersebut. Petugas operator memegang peran yang sangat penting dalam mengolah data sekolah maupun verifikasi dan validasi data siswa ke aplikasi dapodik. Salah satu kriteria utama diangkat menjadi operator sekolah adalah orang yang setidaknya menguasai komputer dan tahu cara mengoperasikannya. Namun, dalam pelaksanaannya operator sekolah masih belum mampu melakukan pengolahan data dengan baik sehingga belum dapat disajikan untuk masyarakat. Sehingga perlu di adakan kegiatan pelatihan ini untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut. Peserta kegiatan ini adalah operator sekolah yang berada dibawah naungan Himpunan Pendidik dan Tenaga Kependidikan PAUD Indonesia (HIMPAUDI) Kecamatan Kedamaian Bandar Lampung sebanyak 31 orang operator. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan pelatihan ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode pelatihan atau seminar dan praktek secara langsung serta pendampingan pasca kegiatan. Kegiatan dimulai dengan sosialisasi, penyusunan program dan teknis pelatihan, penyiapan alat dan bahan, pelatihan / seminar dan praktek langsung serta diskusi dan evaluasi. Evaluasi dilakukan secara kontinu hingga operator faham dalam melakukan olah data statistik data pokok pendidikan dengan hasil yang baik.
Tarikolot Tourism Village is one form of community empowerment that is quite good in the city of Bogor. The use of sleeping land in these locations by community residents, especially the Tarikolot United Youth Association and Ciluar Tourism Conscious Group (Pokdarwis), into productive activities such as fisheries and livestock, can be a pilot for other regions. However, the results obtained are still less than optimal because no touch of technological innovation can optimize the potential. The purpose of this activity is to provide technical innovations in the field of fisheries and livestock for the development of Tarikolot tourism village, including tilapia and catfish cultivation systems in bioflocs and aquaponics, automatic feeder machines, water pumps, versatile enumeration machines, solar power plants, solar public street lighting (PJU-TS), and planting Family Medicine Plants (TOGA) and fruits on site. The technological innovations were designed jointly between the proposing team from Pakuan University with both partners to be installed at the location. The method used is a Forum Group Discussion and workshop with a Community Development approach. The impacts resulting from this activity are (1) Partners can increase food availability in urban land. (2) The provision of capital assistance for the buyer of fish seedlings is expected by partners also to be able to supply food for the area and increase partners' income. and (3) With training, partners are expected to increase knowledge about fish and vegetable cultivation systems through aquaponics technology and bioflocs ponds, running the technology system well without any constraints in the field
Pembangunan sumber daya manusia adalah melalui peningkatan bidang pendidikan. Salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan mutu sumber daya manusia adalah melalui peningkatan profesionalitas guru. Guru sebagai sumber daya manusia dalam dunia pendidikan dituntut untuk melakukan pengembangan diri. Guru tidak saja dituntut menguasai materi ajaran atau mampu menyajikan secara tepat, tetapi juga dituntut mampu melakukan pengembangan pengajaran di dalam kelas melalui penelitian. Jenis penelitian yang dapat dilakukan oleh guru cukup banyak di antaranya adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Sebagian besar guru, baik guru SD/MI, SMP/MTs, dan SMA/MA menyatakan bahwa pada analisis data inilah bagian yang tersulit dalam PTK. Hal ini tidaklah 100% benar, karena sebenarnya pada bagian inilah hal yang sangat mengasyikkan. Orang akan bisa karena terbiasa, orang akan tidak bisa karena belum terbiasa. Kata-kata itu nampaknya benar, artinya guru merasa tidak bisa melakukan analisis data dalam PTK karena memang belum terbiasa. Untuk membiasakan guru-guru dalam menganalisis data penelitiannya diperlukan aplikasi program statistika. Salah satu aplikasi program statistika adalah SPSS. Dengan analisis data menggunakan aplikasi SPSS sangat membantu guru untuk meningkatkan kualitas penelitiannya. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dirasakan perlu untuk membantu guru-guru dalam teknik analisis data dengan SPSS untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menelitinya.
