Patrícia Roque Martins seeks in her chapter to value the possibilities that exist in the alliance between the historic-artistic heritage and the development of inclusive practices that can generate new realities and more positive identities concerning the blind or partially sighted. Therefore, she will address the main aspects that have influenced how access to art museums has been promoted in Portugal regarding this social group, and explore its relevance towards building this social group's identity.
