Abstract. The article presents a developed Analytic Platform -Direct Safety, which can be helpful, especially for small enterprises, in determining own policy in the field of occupational safety. Small companies need indicators, on the basis of which they could anticipate and undertake actions aimed at weak sides of the occupational safety. The developed application provides means for analysing a series of aspects, variants and compilations between particular data. One can conduct an analysis anytime, arbitrarily changing selected criteria. The developed tool allows a complex analysis of collected data, considering all values obtained during the analysis of the company's occupational safety state. The article describes the possibilities of the developed Analytic Platform -Direct Safety, on the basis of an analysis of results of the research in the field of measuring the level of the occupational safety culture conducted at a small manufacturing company
The following paper presents an IT tool for aiding assessment of a safety culture level in an organization in a form of an application, providing fast and easy way to analyze data obtained from questionnaires. Traditional data analysis often turns out to be time-consuming and labor-intensive. To make the process faster, more detailed and to find all the possible links among all the available data there is a need for an IT tool. The presented application has been developed with publicly available and completely free tools and technologies. It is a complete piece of software, fully flexible which can be modified or equipped with new functions (modules). The presented solution eliminates the time consuming process of “copying” data from paper questionnaires, and allows to get information about the safety culture level right after adding a questionnaire to a questionnaire database. The presented tool can function as a mobile questionnaire which can be used in any place with Internet access and to fill it in only a browser is required.
Alpha-synuclein’s role in diseases termed “synucleinopathies”, including Parkinson’s disease, has been well-documented. However, after over 25 years of research, we still do not fully understand the alpha-synuclein protein and its role in disease. In vitro cellular models are some of the most powerful tools that researchers have at their disposal to understand protein function. Advantages include good control over experimental conditions, the possibility for high throughput, and fewer ethical issues when compared to animal models or the attainment of human samples. On the flip side, their major disadvantages are their questionable relevance and lack of a “whole-brain” environment when it comes to modeling human diseases, such as is the case of neurodegenerative disorders. Although now, with the advent of pluripotent stem cells and the ability to create minibrains in a dish, this is changing. With this review, we aim to wade through the recent alpha-synuclein literature to discuss how different cell culture setups (immortalized cell lines, primary neurons, human induced pluripotent stem cells (hiPSCs), blood–brain barrier models, and brain organoids) can help us understand aggregation pathology in Parkinson’s and other synucleinopathies.
Streszczenie. W artykule przedstawiono metodykę badania poziomu kultury bezpieczeństwa, która jest przeprowadzana na podstawie autorskiego modelu do analizy obszarów systemu bezpieczeństwa ASSA (ang. Analysis of Safety System Areas). Zaprezentowano model ASSA, autorski kwestionariusz ankiety oraz metody badawcze. Następnie, na podstawie studium przypadku, opisano ścieżkę poszukiwania najsłabszego elementu systemu bezpieczeństwa pracy w przedsiębiorstwie. Słowa kluczowe: kultura bezpieczeństwa, przedsiębiorstwo produkcyjne, metodyka badań METHOD OF TESTING THE LEVEL OF SAFETY CULTURE IN PRODUCTION ENTERPRISES-CASE STUDY Abstarct. The article presents the methodology of evaluating occupational safety culture, conducted on the basis of an original ASSA model. What is more, it presents the ASSA model, an original survey questionnaire, and research methods. In its further part, on the basis of a case study, there is a description of the path for searching for the weakest link of labour safety systems at enterprises.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
