: IoT technology has been widely applied in everyday life. IoT technology has been applied to smart home, smart city, and several supporting applications implemented by IoT technology. IoT technology can also be applied in hobby of keeping fish. The aquarium system that is sold in the market today is an ordinary aquarium. The aquarium system on the market today is already interesting, with a collection of plants and fish in the aquarium, but the problems that occur if the aquarium is stored in the house will be less to the needs of sunlight. Sometimes the lights that have a diaquarium are not adapted to the needs of plants or fish in the aquarium. Another problem is the provision of fish feed that is still manual. Sometimes aquarium owners must provide fish feed manually at least once a day. This is very troublesome if the owner of the aquarium has a very high activity, so the risk of forgetting to feed fish is very high. To overcome the problems mentioned above, it is necessary to have an aquarium system that is eyecatching and completely automated, both in terms of lighting and aspects of fish feeding. A smart aquarium system that can accommodate aquarium hobbyists with all the activities owned by aquarium owners. In this paper, we designed a new smart aquarium system using IoT devices
Blind students have barriers and unique learning styles compared to other regular students. The fundamental difficulty is the absence of accessible content and tools that can help facilitate learning, including in the final project of blind students. The Blind Learning Application wants to accommodate the learning gaps experienced by blind students in the PGRI Yogyakarta University environment. Assistive technology in APTUN to find references that combines speech to text, Non Visual Desktop Access and text to speech that can be accessed online is one of the driving forces for fulfilling the needs and services of inclusive education at Universitas PGRI Yogyakarta through effective and efficient learning based on needs special education and services for students with visual impairments.
Smart Aquaponic is a system of planting plants and maintaining fish in one container with integrated Internet of Things technology. Aquaponic is the process by which plants utilize nutrients derived from fish feces which, if left in the pond, will become toxic to the fish. Plants function as a filter of vegetation which will break down these toxic substances into substances that are not harmful to fish. Plants also supply oxygen to the water used to maintain fish. With this cycle there will be a mutually beneficial cycle between plants and fish. This system is very profitable, because the land used will not be too large. The purpose of this study was to develop a smart aquaponic system using Internet of Things technology. In this system aquaponics are equipped with sensors that function as monitors and actuators. Actuators can be controlled by users using smart phones. Sensor monitoring can be observed by users using smart phones. The method used in this study uses the Microsoft Solution Framework (MSF) with the waterfall system development method and Object Oriented Development (OOD) method. Stages in this study includes problem identification, preliminary planning and design, piloting and implementation. Conclusion: This smart aquaponics design is ready to be implemented in small scale trials.
This study aims to develop the application of information technology in the field of agriculture, especially the method of farming in a hydroponic way. Hydroponic cultivation method is cultivation that can be done with the utilization of vacant land/yard of the house. With a hydroponic cultivation system, a small home garden yard can be used as farming land. The research method used in this research is the Microsoft Solution Framework (MSF) with waterfall system development method and Object Oriented Development (OOD) method for its approach method. Stages in this study include problem identification, preliminary planning, design and design, piloting and implementation. The result of this research is a prototype product of an IoT system applied in a hydroponic cultivation system. Contributions to Knowledge may extend the repertoire of research in the field of development, particularly in the event of information technology involved in agriculture, especially in cultivation using hydroponics; The results can be used as references in the development of the next IoT system.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
