Part 1. MSRE Design, Engineering Analysis, and Component Development l. Reactor Analysis Additional instrument application flow diagrams for the chemical processing system, the fuel loading and storage !:lyBLem, auu the instrument air distribution system were completed. •rabulatiuns auu application diagrams were revised to int!orporate l'ecent desigu L:llctuges. Preliminary control system block diagrams were prepared, and criteria for control and safety circuitry are being reviewed. The design of instrument and control system panels is approximately 85% complete, Rnd panel fabrication is 50% t!ornplete. 'l'he deoign of lm; L:c~nuent air interconnections was completed. Interconnection wiring designs for the annunciator system and for the F'oxboro Electi•onic Consotrol Instrumentation System are nearing completion. Design work on thermocouple interconnections is under way. Location and attachment drawings for thermocouples in the fuel and coolant system and a tabulation of the 819 thel"lf!Ocouplor. in thr; reactor system were completed. Fabrication drawings for dr::dn tank salt level probes and for oil system venturi flow elements were completed. Requirements for process radiation monitors were established, and design work on field installations for these monitors is in progress. Panel design is nearing completion. Design work on personnel monitoring installations is under way. Approximately 90% of the commercially available standard components for the reactor system instrumentation was received. Approval was obtained for procurement of the data system. •
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
