Effective immunization practices are invariably a big challenge for Pakistan, facing many problems and barriers to immunize children against vaccine preventable diseases. Immunization coverage in Pakistan requires up-gradation. Barriers in attaining immunization goals are lack of Parents acceptance, lack of Parents awareness and knowledge about benefits of vaccination, socioeconomic inequity and lack of security for vaccinators. The problems of vaccine procurement are its transportation, storage and administration which also contribute to errors of immunization practices. In Pakistan Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI) with the support of WHO & UNICEF has a significant impact on overcoming these barriers. Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI) is facilitating through many vaccination centers, mobile vaccination sessions and public awareness campaigns, health visitors and EPI trained vaccinators to eradicate the barriers towards poor immunization practices in Pakistan. It is concluded from this study that it is the responsibility of Government and Health Professionals to find solutions to increases vaccination rate and coverage. Hypertension is one of the leading health issue in developing countries. There are many factors associated with hypertension like obesity, excessive intake of salt, smoking and drinking alcohol. Current study aims to assess the prevalence and determinants of hypertension among business class community in Lahore. A community based survey in Lahore was conducted to evaluate the prevalence and determinants in business class community aged 20- 45 year. Questionnaire was designed, translated into local language and 400 participants were interviewed as per structured questionnaire, collected data was analyzed using statistical software SPSS 22. The prevalence of hypertension among study population was 37.5%. Results were astonishing only 32% of hypertensive patients were taking antihypertensive pills. Being overweight was strongly associated with hypertension, also excessive salt intake and sedentary life style were the contributing factors. Asthma means chronic (long term) illness of the lungs causing cough, shortness of breath, chest tightness, wheezing and fast respirations, which is influenced by several genetic developments and environmental factors that affect over 300 million people around the world and 1 in 4 urban children. The occurrence of asthma increased in the world over the last 25 years. Environmental factors such as air pollution allergens, infection, smoking, hormones, and some specific medicine take part in this disorder. Currently there are different therapies to overcome this disease like Herbal, Unani, Ayurveda, Siddha, Homeopathy, Naturopathy, Allopathy, Biochemical and Chinese herbs. Allopathic treatment is also available for majority of the disorders but the problem is increasing price of medication now a days and allopathic medicines are related with a diversity of side effects. So tendency towards management of asthma with modern therapies like intake of nutritional diet and modification in our lifestyle including exercise, yoga are highly adopted these days.
