Chemistry is to study the concepts which are mostly abstract. One of them is in colloidal material. The abstract concepts are difficult to understand if only explained in two-dimensional form. Therefore, a media is needed to visualize the abstract concepts of colloidal material both in terms of both macroscopic and microscopic. This study aims to develop an interactive learning media using Autoplay Media Studio 8 that is worthy of being used as a learning media. The study used the Research and Development (R & D) method which refered to the Borg and Gall model. Data collection techniques were in the form of validation sheets and response questionnaires (teachers and students). The data analysis technique used descriptive statistical analysis. The results show that the percentage score obtained from five experts (two media experts and three material experts) gained 96.74% with very valid categories. The results of trials for teachers and students each obtained an average percentage score of 87% and 92% with very practical categories. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that interactive learning media using Autoplay Media Studio 8 on chemistry subjects of colloid material in class XI SMA/MA are appropriate to be used as learning media.
The implementation of learning media based on ICT (Information and Communication Technology) on chemistry was found to be very low. For this reason, ICT-based chemistry learning media which utilized autoplay application were developed in this research. The validated product of the learning media based by autoplay on chemistry can be implemented as a learning medium to improve students' communicative character. This research was designed by using the Plomp model in the form of Research and Development (R&D). Data of this research were collected by validation sheets, questionnaire responses (teachers and students), and communicative observation sheets with descriptive statistical analyses and independent sample t test. The validity results showed that the average percentage from media expert and material expert judgment were 88.25% and 91.69% with a category of valid. Moreover, the results of the response of teachers and students respectively obtained an average percentage score of 85% and 81% with a category of very interesting. Then, the results of the independent sample t test for 0,000 <0.05 indicated that there were significant differences in the communicative character of students before and after the use of learning media based on autoplay on chemistry with a percentage of 72.25%.
The world has entered the industrial revolution (RI) 4.0 which is supported by digital technology and automation in various fields. RI 4.0 resulted in changes in the social order, specifically the need for skills in this era. The top 3 skills needed in the 21st century are complex problem solving, critical thinking, and creativity. All of these skills can be classified into Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). HOTS is a thinking skill that depends on the ability to analyze, create, and evaluate all aspects and problems. This research aims to develop valid problems to measure HOTS for students on stoichiometry topic and evaluate students’ HOTS on stoichiometry topic. Research is a development research type formative research that consists of analyzing, designing, evaluating, and revising. All data are analyzed using a descriptive technique. A subject in this research is students of superior high school in Pekanbaru. The results of this research are: (1) three of valid HOTS problems on stoichiometry (2) value of students' HOTS on stoichiometry is 35.16 which put in a medium category
