Peace encourages humans to eliminate the impulse of violence within themselves. Peace in students can drive the development of peace in their social environment. Educators should be able to play the role of peace educators to take part in creating true peace. This study aims to identify the attributes of peace educators through the life experiences of KH Ahmad Dahlan, as narrated in the novel Sang Pencerah (The Enlightener). This qualitative research employs the hermeneutic approach. The research stages include overall understanding (whole), understanding of parts and obtaining an understanding of the underlying meaning. The results indicate that the attributes of peace educators, according to KH Ahmad Dahlan, include showing affection, being sincere, having a good attitude, performing practices aligning with the educators’ knowledge and teaching knowledge based on tolerance and empathy. Those attributes of peace educators can be used as a guide for developing the competencies of educators to encourage students to achieve peace-loving characters. This character supports the emergence of a culture of peace in their environment.Contribution: This research has contributed to the successful implementation of education through teachers who have the attributes of peace educators. The characteristics of peace educators based on KH Ahmad Dahlan are a reference for teachers to become educators who can create peace through school settings.

This research entitiled “Symbolism of three political powers in arok-dedes by Pramoedya Ananta Toer is aimed at finding the actor behind the act of taking over the reign. The three political powers fighting to take over the reign are military (Arok) collaborating with the dominating party Golongan Karya (Brahmana) to face the Old Order and the Indonesia Communist Party (Tunggul Ametung supported by King of Kediri). This research employs semiotic theory which results to the criticism to the Old and the New Orders. The smart and resourcefull Arok is a threat to his opponent and ally is the symbol of the authority of the New Order Soeharto, while Tunggul Ametung is the symbol of the Old Order Soekarno. The New Order rezim collaborates with Golongan Karya and the authority of the Old Order Lama collaborates with the Indonesia Communist Party which is anti to Islam. The political battle won by the military force supported by Golongan Karya directs Soeharto to his presidency as the second Indonesia President.

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan citra perempuan pada tokoh utama dalam novel “Kala” karya Stefani Bella dan Syahid Muhammad dengan kajian feminisme ideologis. Penelitian dilakukan secara deskriptif kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik kepustakaan dan teknik baca-catat serta metode membaca sebagai perempuan. Hasil penelitian adalah sebagai berikut: (1) citra fisik Lara adalah perempuan dewasa yang sederhana, apa adanya, dan tidak suka bersolek, (2) citra psikis Lara adalah perempuan yang berjiwa kuat, tegar, tanggung jawab, dan mandiri, (3) citra sosial Lara dalam keluarga adalah anak perempuan yang berbakti kepada orang tuanya, dan (4) citra sosial Lara dalam masyarakat adalah perempuan yang ramah, mudah bergaul, dan aktif berkegiatan. Sosok perempuan dalam novel “Kala” ini menggambarkan sosok perempuan yang berhasil menyetarakan kedudukannya dengan laki-laki khususnya dalam bidang pekerjaan di ranah publik. Ketidakadilan yang dihadapinya karena jenis kelamin tidak menjadikan perempuan lemah dan terpuruk tetapi membangkitkan semangatnya menjadi perempuan yang mandiri.Katakunci: citra, perempuan, feminis ideologisAbstract:The study aimed to describe the woman’s image reflected by the main character of Kala, a novel written by Stefani Bella and Syahid Muhammad. The woman’s image was viewed from an ideological feminism approach. The research was descriptive qualitative of which the data were collected through library study and note-taking, as well as reading as woman. The study results in several findings. First, Lara’s physical image was described as modest, natural, and not keen on prinking herself. Second, psychologically, Lara’s image was strong, tough, responsible, and independent. Third, Lara’s social image in the family was filial to her parents, and fourth, Lara’s social image in society was described as friendly, sociable, and active. The woman’s figure in the novel shows the one who is able to equalize the position with men, especially in occupations related to the people. The inequality as experienced by the character should not weaken women. Instead, it should encourage women to be independent.Keywords: image, women, ideological feminism

Kampung Gendeng, Kelurahan Baciro, Kecamatan Gondokusuman, termasuk daerah perkotaan di Yogyakarta. Sarana prasarana umumnya pun sudah baik. Permasalahan yang ada pada masyarakat ini adalah kurangnya fasilitas dan perhatian masyarakat terhadap kegiatan berkesenian bagi anak-anak. Maka, program ini bertujuan untuk membangun sebuah sistem pembangunan anak yang lebih terintegrasi dan berkelanjutan dalam dimensi kabupaten/kota menuju kampung ramah anak. Metode pelaksanaan program meliputi pemberian ceramah, praktek, dan pembinaan. Hasil dan dampak dari kegiatan ini adalah pemenuhan hak-hak anak untuk mendapatkan informasi dan pelatihan berkesenian terpenuhi.

Permasalahan yang ada di masyarakat Kelurahan Bausatran, kecamatan Danurejan, kota Yogyakarta adalah terbatasnya pengetahuan ibu-ibu penjual kue-kue tradisional tentang kewirausahaan dan kurangnya kesadaran masyarakat tentang pentingnya kesehatan. Oleh karena itu, program mahasiswa KKN Alternatif UAD fokus pada upaya pemberdayaan kewirausahaan dan kesehatan. Program ini bertujuan memberdayakan ibu-ibu pedagang kue tradisional dan meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat pada bidang kesehatan. Metode pelaksanaan program meliputi metode ceramah dan praktek. Hasil dan dampak dari kegiatan mahasiswa KKN bagi masyarakat di Kelurahan Bausastran ini adalah (1) peningkatan pengetahuan ibu-ibu tentang kewirausahaan dan (2) peningkatan kesadaran masyarakat terhadap gerakan hidup sehat.
