Teaching and learning is a good way to reach the educational goals. Since the Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) hits the word, the process of teaching and learning totally change that creates new problem for teachers and students. This study aims to find out the students’ perceptions of the implementation of home learning and online learning during the pandemic era (COVID-19) in SMA Negeri 1 Soe. This study used a qualitative descriptive design. The instruments used were questionnaires and interviews. The data of this study was collected through spreading questionnaires and doing interviews. The data of this study were analyzed by using SPSS. The result of the study showed that students perceive the implementation of home learning and online learning during pandemic era (COVID-19) is a good way because it could protect the students from the spread of the COVID-19, it helped the students to keep learning. It could make the students to be responsible for their learning improvement.
ABTRACT This study aims to reveal the gender inequality between male and female in the novel entitled Sold. It is the representation of ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan ketidaksetaran gender antara laki-laki dan perempuan dalam novel yang berjudul Sold. nobel ini mewakili kebudayaan negara Nepal dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini diamabil dari novel Sold. data dalam penelitian ini adalah katakata, frasa, dan kalimat-kalimat yang mengandung ketidaksetaraan gender yang ada dalam novel Sold. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori analisis wacana kritis yang ditulis oleh Van Dijk. Hasil dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa laki-laki cenderung mendominasi perempuan. Laki-laki menunjukkan bahwa mereka tidak bertangung jawab terhadap keluarga. Sedangkan para wanita tidak memiliki hak dalam mengambil sebuah keputusan. Mereka akan terbebani oleh suami mereka dan mereka tidak memiliki hak untuk memilih dikarenakan faktor budaya dan agama.
The lempuyang gajah plant (Zingiber zerumbet (L.) Roscoe ex Sm.) is a plant that is widely used as a treatment for desease. The purpose of this study was to determine the toxic effect of the ethanol extract of lempuyang gajah (Zingiber zerumbet (L.) Roscoe ex Sm.) on levels of bilirubin and alkaline phosphatase (ALP) in the liver of mice (Mus musculus). The type of research used is descriptive quantitative with laboratory experimental methods. The mice were divided into 5 groups including normal control, negative control, dose of 4000 kg-1, 5000 kg-1 and 6000 kg-1. then observed the toxic symptoms, macroscopic, levels of bilirubin and alkaline phosphatase. The results of the phytochemical test showed that there were compounds of alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, phenolics, steroids, triterpenoids and tannins. The results of macroscopic observations showed that the liver was still in a normal condition. The results of the One Way Anova test on bilirubin and alkaline phosphatase levels did not show any significant effect (p>0,05) influence between the normal control group, negative control, doses of 4000 kg-1, 5000 kg-1 and 6000 kg-1, so it can be said that all experimental animals had the same condition.
A narrative inquiry of students' public speaking, ability using bilingual, English, and Arabic. This research aims to explore the story of the experience of public speaking, students during students studying at Al-Mashduqiyah. More specifically, the study aimed to understand the difficulties and coping strategies that students face when speaking in public using a foreign language. The method used by the qualitative approach is narrative inquiry. A Junior High student participated in the study. To collect data valid information researcher use questionnaires, interviews, dairy, and documentation obtained from participants and a teacher. As a result, this narrative investigation shows the problems of public speaking in two languages, individual factors, and implementing them into public speaking. To overcome difficulties in public speaking, participants apply strategies with repetition and habituation. This study shows that the mastery of language, accent, and manner of delivery is important because it affects the audience's understanding of the communication.
The teaching and learning process in the classroom needs good communication between students and teachers. To make a good communication in the classroom, teacher is considered a crucial factor in creating the communication. Asking question is one way to have communication between teacher and students. But since the spread of the COVID-19, the teaching and learning process has change rapidly because students and teachers do not meet directly so the communication between students and teachers become less effective. This study aims to find out the kinds of teachers’ questions and the reasons for asking these questions. This study used qualitative descriptive design. The instruments used were observation and interview. The data of this study was collected through doing observation and interviews. The data of this study were analyzed by using Miles and Huberman’s model of analysis (Flow Model). The result of the study showed that during the pandemic era, the teachers mostly ask convergent questions (questions with short answers) and only ask divergent questions (questions with long answers) sometimes. While for the reasons, there are some reasons such stimulate and maintaining students’ interest, students to think and focus, clarifying students’ answers and encouraging students’ participation. Based on the result of the study, it can be concluded that the teachers tend to ask convergent questions that caused the students do not think critically during the pandemic era.
