Education is an important thing for humans to need because it functions to prepare human resources in the nation's development process. There are several characteristics in formal education, namely: having a clear curriculum, applying certain conditions for students and teaching staff must meet certain classifications. A person's ability to achieve success in life is determined by how much his ability to think in facing and solving life's problems. Someone who has the ability to think critically will always evaluate an activity to conclude everything that is factual. This research uses qualitative methods and literature study approaches. The results of the study describe: 1. Educational Zones: Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS); 2. Student Zone: Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) in the Orientation of Increasing Critical Thinking; 3. Higher Education Zone: Reflections on Critical Thinking. The conclusion obtained is that HOTS is said to be good because it can find problems, solve problems and in the process of problem solving involves thinking processes of analyzing, evaluating, creating. This is because in the learning process students are actively involved to search for and find various concepts of knowledge so that it will increase creativity, innovation ability and critical thinking processes of students in solving a problem. If this continues to be honed, we will be able to compete in the 4.0 industrial revolution era.
: This study aims to know the character values of the students in economic learning at SMAN 2 Tanjung Raja. The method in this study is descriptive.Subjectsin this study are 51 students from class X IPS 2 andXI IPS 3. The technique of data collection used questionnaire and interview as the primary method, observation and documentation as the secondary method. The result of this study showed character values of the students in economic learning at SMAN 2 Tanjung Raja that high category with the average score of 3.7. There are five character values developed through learning by economic teacher. Character honest students showed the average score of 3.7 which classified in high category. Character discipline students showed the average score of 3.7 which classified in high category. Character curiosity of students showed the average score of 4.0 which classified in high category. Character social care students showed the average score of 3.6 which classified in high category. Character responsibility of students showed the average score of 3.6 which classified in high category. Furthermore, they find a way of teachers in developing the character values of students through the economic learning at SMAN 2 Tanjung Raja by putting motivational words in examination sheet like honesty is more valuable than the value without the honesty, the consequences of giving extra score and stars when the students obeying rules and giving punishment separate study of friends if they break the rules, active learning model, ice breaking, visiting sick friends, and spritual cleansing. Abstrak : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahuinilai-nilai karaktersiswa pada pembelajaran ekonomi di SMAN 2 Tanjung Raja.Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini seluruh siswa kelas X IPS 2 dan kelas XI IPS 3 yang berjumlah 51 Siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu kuesioner dan wawancara sebagai metode primer, dan observasi dan dokumentasi sebagai metode sekunder. Hasil penelitian diperoleh nilai-nilai karakter siswa pada pembelajaran ekonomi di SMAN 2 Tanjung Raja berada pada kategori tinggidengan nilai rerata 3,7. Terdapat 5 nilai karakter yang dikembangkan melalui pembelajaran oleh guru ekonomi. Karakter jujur siswa menunjukkan nilai rerata 3,7 yang termasuk pada kategori tinggi. Karakter disiplin siswa menunjukkan nilai rerata 3,7 yang termasuk pada kategori tinggi. Karakter rasa ingin tahu siswa menunjukkan nilai rerata 4,0 yang termasuk pada kategori tinggi. Karakter peduli sosial siswa menunjukkan nilai rerata 3,6 yang termasuk pada kategori tinggi. Karakter tanggung jawab siswa menunjukkan nilai rerata 3,6 yang termasuk pada kategori tinggi. Selanjutnyaditemukan cara guru dalam mengembangkan nilai-nilai karakter siswa melalui pembelajaran ekonomi di SMAN 2 Tanjung Raja dengan tulisan motivasi di lembar ujian seperti jujur itu lebih bernilai daripada nilai tanpa kejujuran, konsekuensi-konsekuensi berupa pujian angka dan bintang jika mematuhi aturan dan hukuman belajar terpisah dari temannya jika melanggar aturan, model pembelajaran yang aktif, memecah kejenuhan, menjenguk teman sakit, dan memberikan siraman rohani.
Abstract This study aims to determine the level of learning motivation of students in class X across cross-interest programs on economic subjects at Palembang State High School 16. This study used a descriptive method where the subjects in this study were students of class X MIPA which amounted to 52 students. Data collection techniques used were questionnaires and interviews. Data analysis techniques were scored based on the rating scale. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be seen that students' learning motivation in economic subjects cross-interest programs in Palembang State High School 16 influenced by intrinsic factors of 74.23% in (high category) and extrinsic at 79.78% at ( high category). Researchers suggest that teachers motivate students more cross-interest programs in growing successful desires while learning economic subjects. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat motivasi belajar peserta didik kelas X program lintas minat pada mata pelajaran ekonomi di SMA Negeri 16 Palembang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dimana subjek dalam penelitian ini yaitu peserta didik kelas X MIPA yang berjumlah 52 peserta didik. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu angket dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data diberi skor berdasarkan skala penilaian. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dapat dilihat motivasi belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran ekonomi program lintas minat di SMA Negeri 16 Palembang, di pengaruhi oleh faktor intrinsik sebesar 74,23% berada pada (kategori tinggi) dan ekstrinsik sebesar 79,78% yang berada pada (kategori tinggi). Peneliti menyarankan agar guru lebih memotivasi peserta didik program lintas minat dalam menumbuhkan keinginan berhasil saat belajar mata pelajaran ekonomi

:This research entitled "The Influence of Cooperative Learning Model "Inside Outside Circle Type to the activeness of students class X on Economic subject in SMA Srijaya Negara Palembang". The problem formulation of the research is "whether there is influence of cooperative learning model Inside Outside Circle Type to the activeness of student sclass X on Economic subject in SMA Srijaya Negara Palembang”. This research is an experimental research which uses pre experiment with One Group Pretest-Postest Design method. The population of this research is all students of class X in SMA Srijaya Negara Palembang. The sample used is cluster random sampling. In this case, there are 30 students of X IIS selected. The data collection techniques that used is observation. The technique of observation data analysis is obtained from the result of pre observation and post observation. The results of observational data analysis of learning models is 93.3% while the observation on learning activenessis. 79.1%. From the result, it can be interpreted that the students of class X IIS 1 areactive in learning. Furthermore, the hypothesis uses t test. The result of the research is t = 26,32 where, tcount> ttable = 26,32> 1,685. This shows that there is influence of cooperative learning model "Inside Outside Circle Type "to the activeness of student sclass X on Economic subject in SMA Srijaya Negara Palembang. Adapun rumusan masalah penelitian yaitu “apakah ada pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Inside Outside Circle terhadap keaktifan belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran ekonomi kelas X di SMA Srijaya Negara Palembang”. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen, yang menggunakan pra eksperimen dengan metode One Grup Pretest-Postest Design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas X di SMA Srijaya Negara Palembang. Sampel penelitian menggunakan cluster random sampling, sehingga terpilih kelas X IIS 1 yang berjumlah 30 peserta didik. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu observasi. Teknik analisis data observasi diperoleh dari hasil pre observasi dan post observasi. Hasil analisis data observasi pada penerapan model pembelajaran dengan rerata sebesar 93,3% sedangkan observasi pada keaktifan belajar sebesar 79,1% dapat diinterpretasikan keaktifan pada kelas X IIS 1 tergolong aktif. Hipotesis menggunakan uji t. Hasil penelitian diperoleh nilai thitung sebesar 26,32 dimana, thitung> ttabel = 26,32 > 1,685. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Inside Outside Circle terhadap keaktifan belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran ekonomi kelas X di SMA Srijaya Negara Palembang.
