In the 21st century, Indonesia is that the spread of learning is done boldly considering the cases of covid-19 in Indonesia are increasing day by day. The policy concerns educational institutions at the central and regional levels. This policy is considered to be an effective solution so that they do not interact with each other, even just using various media. In the current era, it is evident that the learning system seems to have changed, from what children used to feel in a (traditional) classroom atmosphere to learning that is rigid and monotonous in front of the screen. By implementing the bold learning system or learning from home (BDR), students are required to have facilities that can support these activities starting from smartphones, networks and data packages. Interestingly, in the midst of this epidemic, it has had an impact on all aspects of life, especially in education starting from an early age to higher education. The impact of this bold learning is numerous. Many students do not have smartphones to study boldly and schools cannot provide such facilities for low economic conditions. Not only that, parents who have time difficulties in controlling their children's learning at home will cause children to be lazy to study and of course achievement will decrease. So in this case, the role of parents is the main key in children's learning so that children's interest in learning and achievement does not decrease even though the learning process is not direct with face to face.
The nature of schooling won't be palatable assuming that instructive parts that incorporate establishment, objectives, educational program, ability and educator amazing skill, instructor understudy relationship designs, learning procedure framework, assessment, supporting and different components are overseen as is without cautious preparation. In the mean time To accomplish decent and quality schooling is essential the presence of a decent administration particularly in educational plan that will be instructed to understudies both in regards to targets, content or showing materials, execution as well as assessment of the educational plan. By applying educational plan the board in an expert foundation schooling instruction will deliver qualified graduates who can shape graduates to procure fundamental abilities.
Many students at this time are starting to leave the cultural traditions of the Indonesian nation and leave moral norms that cannot be separated from the importance of growing the religious character of students in schools in the teaching and learning process in the classroom. Therefore, so that students have characters that are in accordance with norms and religion, it is hoped that schools can foster a culture, one of which is by carrying out positive activities during the holy month of Ramadan. The researcher formulated the objectives of this study to: (1) The activities carried out during the holy month of Ramadan to cultivate the religious character of students at MTsN Binjai, (2) How did the activities carried out during the holy month of Ramadan at MTsN Binjai, (3) Inhibitory factors and supporters of carrying out activities during the holy month of Ramadan at MTsN Binjai. This type of research is qualitative, with the principal research subject. And data collection was done by interview and field observation with relevant themes. The results of this study indicate that: (1) The forms of activities carried out to cultivate the religious character of students in the month of Ramadan are dhuha prayer in congregation, almsgiving, tausiyah, and tadarus (2) There is an influence from these activities which makes students' awareness higher to carry out worship and have a noble character (3) Supporting factors come from facilities and cooperation carried out by the school (4) Inhibiting factors originating from students are overcome by reminding them to always be disciplined.
In the educational process, students are active subjects and objects. They are said to be subjects because they play an active role as the main actors in the learning process, while they are said to be objects because they are the targets of students to be developed by educators. 3 If students are used as targets, then they must act as active subjects in learning facilitated by the school, namely one of them is by implementing student management that can stimulate all the potential that exists within them. Growing student motivation is one of the techniques in developing the ability and willingness to learn. One logical way to motivate students in learning is to relate learning experiences to student motivation. Increasing student learning motivation is based on the belief that student learning motivation has implications, not only on the learning outcomes obtained, but also on the benefits of the entire learning process. Slavin argues that motivated students will be easily directed, given assignments, tend to have great curiosity, are active in seeking information about the material explained by the teacher and use higher cognitive processes to learn and absorb the lessons given (Sharif, ).
