This research is motivated by the current community in Sumbakeling village, a community that has a unique tradition of Mudun Lemah involving the tools and materials used. The study aims to investigate the philosophical values of the tradition by using a descriptive method, where facts were collected and analyzed to generate an overall explanation by analyzing the philosophical values contained in the tradition. The data collection techniques were literature review, observations, direct interviews and documentation. The research results identified 22 elements of semiotics including six elements of icons, seven indices and nine symbols. In addition, there are also 26 points of philosophical values, all of which contain philosophical values in life.
The Pegon script is part of the richness of the Sundanese language. The state of the Sundanese spelling in the Pegon script is an arbitrary writing system. This study aims to obtain a spelling structure in the form of the Pegon script used to write Sundanese. The source of the data used is a text of praise entitled "Nadhomul Mawalidi wal Mi'raj". The research method used is descriptive analysis with data collection techniques, documentation and literature study. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the Pegon script contained in the manuscript had certain rules such as writing consonant characters, vocalizations, punctuation, consonant clusters, and vowel sequences. There are 31 consonant characters in this script: 25 characters can be middle spliced (80%) and 6 characters cannot be middle spliced (20%). Pegon's vocalizations have 8 types: 7 vowel markers and 1 sukun sign as a vowel remover. The punctuation found is the number 2 Hija'iyah to indicate full reduplication. Consonant groups in the script are written with vocalizations inserted. The vowel clusters obtained are 15 types and are made up of 5 letters.
The background of this study is the decreasing research about pantun, and Lutung Kasarung pantun as a story that is considered sacred and filled with philosophical thoughts and beliefs by Sundanese people. The ancient Sundanese considered pantun as mythology or history. Most of the pantun talk about Pajajaran nobles (ménak) or historical figures who have strength and power, even being considered gods. Pantun Lutung Kasarung is considered the oldest rhyme, has the highest values and philosophy. This study aims to describe the structure and motifs in pantun Lutung Kasarung. The method used in this research is descriptive-analytical with the object of pantun Lutung Kasarung version C.M Pleyte (LKP) and version Ajip Rosidi (LKA). The technique used in this research is documentation. The results: (1) the structure of the LKP and LKA stories has some differences even though the stories both tell about Lutung Kasarung, and (2) accumulatively there are 18 motifs found in LKP and LKA. Lutung Kasarung has a lot of philosophical values, not just a fairy tale of a king/God looking for his one true soul. More than that, Lutung Kasarung is a belief and image of ancient people believing in dunia atas (upper world) which is considered sacred and full of mystique.
This research aims to know and describe the flow and value of ethnopedagogy contained in the Story of Pantun Budak Mandjor. This study used descriptive methods of analysis. The results of this study describe the structure and value of ethnopedagogy Poem Story of Budak Mandjor. The structure of Pantun Budak Mandjor's story in this study is focused on the storyline. The structure analysis used in this research is the structure of the nuclear unit. The value of ethnopedagogy contained in the story of the Pantun Budak Mandjor shows the character is convinced in the power of God, obedient, desire to help them in distress and religion, this is described in the devotion of Budak Mandjor to Sunan Ambu. The child's extraordinary devotion to his mother or people to his god, to the extent of his extraordinary grace for his devotion.
